My 3 year old girl loves art supplies. You can make a theme basket full of crayons, markers, construction paper, chalk, stickers, stamps, etc. She will LOVE it! Even if she already has some of this stuff, they always run out and Moms always need more. :)

I just went to a party for a 3 year old and got her do a dot art, it was a big hit! You can find it at learning express (check out there website) or our Hobby town store. They are similar to bingo dabbers, they have books where you can use them to "color" pictures, also fun on plain paper.

I think books, blocks, puzzles and art materials are good for that age. My daughter and her cousin are both 3 and they also love baby dolls and accessories as well as My Little Pony, Dora, Disney Princesses, dress up clothes and accessories.

I would recommend baby dolls, princess books or even disney movies. My 3yr old daughter and cousins love these things. They play dress up, watch tinker bell (which she loves)or loves being read to.This is the greatest age I think.

Hi C.,
Do you know what the little girl likes? If so, I would recommend getting her a nice book. Books are so expensive these days and my son loves books. I always appreciate when he gets a nice book. She would probably love a book of princess stories or baby animal stories. Good luck!

I have a neice that is going to be 5 years old. I also have two nephews. I would always ask my sister in law for suggestions. she appreciated it and that way i pretty new that she would not get double of everything.
ask the mother she will let you know what she needs and does not need. i would say a gift card but she will not understand what a gift card is for at that age. clothes i feel are always good since kids grow so fast but if not sure ask the mom, i am sure she will not mind.

My daughter just turned 3 and she is also going to a b-day party and the newest thing is the "baby Dora suprise"
they have 3 different sets . One is a playdate set and then there is a bathtime and also a bedtime and inside the box are little "suprises. So cute....and a nice "suprise
for any little one who likes Dora and babies! I found them on line at Target for 21.95.

Luckily, 3 year olds don't really care!!! And your gift may be ignored in the moment, so keep it cheap!

My 3 year daughter really loves magnetic paper dolls. And dolls or stuffed animals she can "take care of and put to bed" and wooden puzzles.

anything for dress up play is always great - tutus, princess dresses, etc.

Also - the floor puzzles with the really big pieces are great at this age

My daughter went to our friends twin daughters 4th birthday party and their mom suggested getting them these animals that make noises and walk and flip and stuff! We got them at a toy store at our local mall. I can't remember the name of them though! They are like $20 each but are pretty nice! They do take batteries and don't come with them.

Good luck!
