Any Advice on Sun Shelters or Beach Umbrellas?

I got a peapod travel tent/bed from the One Step Ahead website. It is a collapsible tent (not very big, but perfect for that age, I thought) with an inflatable mattress and pad. I left the mattress, pad, and pump at home and just brought the tent when we went to FL in February (DD was almost six months) and it was perfect as a play tent (though not as successful as a bed--too distracting and different I think). You will need a blanket or towell to drape over the side to block more sun though. I think it was around $65, but I'm not sure about that. Have fun!

When we travel we find that just a good ole beach umbrella does the trick, and we buy one when we get to our destination. On our trip we picked one up at a Wal Mart for $10 and left it behind for the next family. Check the place you are staying - they may have them to rent, or have one left by a family like us!
