Any Good Toddler/big Kid Boosters Out There?

I have a freind who is looking to move her daughter from the infant car seat to the strap-in / harness type booster. I didn't find much help from Consumer Reports on those particular models. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations, either good or bad, on models they have used?

Thanks so much for all your help!

Not as to a specific brand, however, I'm on my third girl and all I can say is 5 POINT HARNESS! It's the only kind my little ones couldn't get out of. Mine now is an Evenflo I can't remember if it was Target or Walmart but I LOVE it and my 2 yr old can't get out of it. It's easy to put in and take out too. :) Hope this helps! Good luck!

Keep your children in a 5 point harness as long as possible (80 lbs with some car seats). Watch the video at the link below and it will convince you.

Well, I'm not sure how old your friends child is nor her weight, but I just bought a car seat at Sam's Club, Eddie Bauer for $50! It weight is 22 pounds to 80 pounds. It is really nice! Prior ti this one we had a really nice seat but my son just didn't fit well. It's by evenflo but I can't remember the model. It did have a really nice feature, it reclined for those little ones who have just switched from the infant car seat. Hope this helps your friend!

I did a bunch of research on this, Britax is expensive but well worth the price for a convertable carseat. if your friend id moving from an infant carrier she needs to either get a convertible because it is doubtful that she left her baby in a carrier for a year or a regular car seat for forward facing.

I have tried a lot of car seats/boosters over the years. Both of my children are now in boosters. Last year I got a high back booster by Evenflo. It has a nice head rest that keeps her head from flopping is she falls asleep, it has little lights she can turn on at night if she wants to play, and it has two nice cup holders. It also will recline and goes to I think 80lbs.

Blessings.

I don't have a brand suggestion (I've forgotten the title sorry) but the 5 point captain chairs were great with my two. The one I used had padded drop down arm rests and a head rest, it also had a cup holder and some small compartments around the base and sides for toys and such. My daughter stayed in it until she was 8 and she really loved it. She was actually upset when I got rid of it. My son stayed in his until he was 7 and missed it when it was gone as well. I believe I bought them at Toys R Us.

Hi, I really like the Alpha Omega... Not the Elite, too expensive, but it's great, and easy to latch!! Hope it helps!

I really love our Graco TurboBooster. It's simple to adjust the height of the back and the back is removable and reclinable a few positions. They come in some really cool colors, some really pretty pink ones for girls.

Hope this helps.

Hello, my mother watched the news last week on carseats and brands. If my memory is correct she said they stated that Baby Trend is one of the best (which is what I own in a infant carrier and carseat that converts to a booster). And Eddie Bauer was one of the worst. But now Consumer Report is saying that those studioes were incorrect......so....who knows...I LOVE my baby trend!
