I signed up for one awhile back, but super expensive~ I bounced to many checks doing it!! But on the bright side it did help me lose some of my weight. I would like to see what other M.'s opinions are about there experience with this kind of delivery service. I read a few of them online but the reviews were horrible!! I love the idea of healthy/fresh cut food and knowing I don't haver to prepare it all the better. Please let me know if any M.'s know or tried them. Thanks a ton

What can I do next?

Hi B.
How horrible was that response!!! I can not believe that another M. would make such a comment. We are all busy in todays hectic life and want the healtiest selections for our family. I would LOVE to be able to eat healthy and spend more time with my kids rather then spending the hour and a half that it takes to make a proper meal standing in the kitchen. I am looking forward to more postive and encouraging responses you recieve because I am always looking for ways to find affordable healthy dinners as well.

I have never personally done the delivery thing before. What I did was the you prepare your own meals and then take them home and put in the freezer. It was nice because I didn't have the clean up and prep to do. All you need to do is prepare the meal which you give yourself a few hours to do. Just put the dinner together and freeze. It was ok priced but we did stop going when they had to raise their prices. I actully miss some of their meals. May be something to check out. The name of the one I did was Dinner Plans. www.mydinnerplans.com. Good luck!

Hi B.!

I just sent you a private message. I hope you'll take me up on my offer and check out the plan I want to send to you. If you try it, I can pretty much promise it will change your life, and you won't want to look back. ;-)

You arrive home after a busy day, ravenous, and without any plans for dinner. The family would love a nutritious home cooked meal, but no one has the time or energy. Wouldn't it be great if you and your family could prepare many meals in a short time?
Quick prep-the healthy meal solution. If you are willing to set aside a couple of hours per week for preparation, then the following information will show you how to stock your fridge and pantry with quick, ready to assemble meals for your family. This will enable you to have healthy, nutritious meals everyday, without breaking the bank.

Step 1- Plan two cook days per week, such as Sunday and Wednesday evenings.
Step 2- Cook two to four protein sources that you will use in recipes over the next three to four days. Store in airtight containers and place in fridge for quick meals.
Step 3- Chop or slice fresh, cleaned veggies. Place in airtight containers. Prepare a large fresh salad. Try spinach and a variety of mixed greens. Store in airtight containers.
Step 4- Prepare salsas, spreads and healthy dressings for the up-coming week using fresh herbs.

You are now ready to assemble healthy meals for the week.

I have done dream dinners and really enjoyed it! It is not a delivery service but you can go and make meals for a week or month. They have healthy options and the cost is comparable to the grocery. The more servings you buy the cheaper it is. I would look in to it if you have one by your house. Best wishes!

How about creating your own "food co-op" where maybe 3-5 families prepare food for ALL families. That means, you fix 1-2 meals a week if you use only for dinner. Assign days, etc. and split the cost. Guarantee, it will be MUCH cheaper than what you've been doing. You should get together in advance & discuss likes/dislikes, allergies, etc. and plan menus from there as a group.

Make sure to shop at Sam's Club or Costco and get the most for your $.
