I'm looking to lose about 10 more pounds. I am exercising daily and eating less sugar and more fruits/veggies/lean protein/water. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Slim fast.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I have seen a nutritionist, who was basically happy with my meal plan and excercise regimen. She did suggest a daily calorie journal to keep track how much I am eating. I found that I was exceeding my 1200 calorie limit without realizing it. For example I'd have a smoothie in the evening but realized it was way too many calories, and unecessary since I was alraedy getting sooo much protein from the rest of my diet. I've kept this journal for 1 week already, and as a result, I lost 1 pound!

I personally never had much luck with Slim-fast. The shakes are pretty high carb when you consider the sugar from the shakes plus the milk. I really like the Atkins Advantage shakes if you are looking for a pre-packaged shake. The Chocolate Royale flavor is the best in my opinion, and has 2 g carb, 15 g protein, and 160 calories. I find that they keep my blood sugar stable and give me enough energy to make it to the next meal without wanting to eat everything in sight. Good luck!

Hi N D
I've used Slim Fast several time. Replacing 2 meals with their canned ready to drink shakes was easy. I replaced breakfast and dinner, opting to do lunch as a meal. Great for losing those 10 pounds.
Good luck!

I have done slim fast in the past. I just find that it's not very healthy and as soon as you eat regular foods, you gain it back. The key is to change your habits. I swear by weight watchers. I have been on it for 8 weeks and have lost 17lbs so far. Good luck.
