We are giving our kitchen a complete makeover. Our microwave, which is 15 yrs old finally met its demise so we thought with all our other appliances being that old, we should just replace them all. We’re going with the stainless steel look.
Our microwave is a GE profile but we’re not sure if that is what we want. We want all our appliances to be the same brand. What brand do you have? Do all your appliances match?
We were looking at Samsung, KitchenAide, GE and Whirlpool. We are looking to buy a Microwave, Refrigerator and stove/oven.

I can't tell you what my favorite is because we unfortunately went with Kenmore for everything. What a mistake. We have had problems with every single Kenmore appliance we own!!!

We redid our kitchen about 10 years ago and went with Kitchenaid fridge and microwave, and a Thermador cooktop and oven. We didn't replace the dishwasher at that time, but did three years ago and got a Bosch. They're all stainless though. Haven't had one problem yet and they all work great.
We intended to have everything match when we recently bought all new appliances, but ended up mixing things up to get what we wanted. We absolutely LOVE our Samsung fridge from Lowe's - very roomy and "counter depth" so it has a "built in" look. It's won awards for being so great too. Absolutely HATE our Frigidaire Professional Dishwasher because I have to wash the dishes first, though it's quiet. Happy with Frigidaire Gallery Microwave & Oven.
Good luck in your search. I know what a pain it is and how hard it is to compare prices! Make sure you look out for Lowe's coupons & special offers. Sometimes you can get them from the post office when moving.
We JUST redid our whole kitchen also 1 month ago... We went with all Whirlpool stainless steel appliances...
Refrigerator- LOVE it... HUGE, side by side fridge with icemaker/ water and bottom freezer...
Microwave- LOVE
Oven- not so much~ It takes 12 minutes to heat up to 375.. I called Whirlpool and even looked online at what other people said. 10-15 minutes is the norm for heating up, I don't like that at all!!!!!
Dishwasher- just okay.... It's louder than our other dishwasher (that was 7 years old) and the dishes don't get completely dry... I have to start buying Jet Dry ALONG with the dishwash detergent...
Overall I'm 50/50 about Whirlpool..
I have higher end Kitchen Aid and LOVE them.
When we built our house 10 yrs ago, GE Profile was our choice and within 3 yrs, all GE died.
We replaced things with Maytag and that died as well within 4-5 yrs.
Kitchen Aid has been awesome.
When we bought our house 10 years ago my whole kitchen was Amana... and had been that way for 5+ years...the only thing left standing is the fridge...but if you think about it they lasted at LEAST 12, some of them 14 years!!! Which IMO, is very good.
We just redid our kitchen a year ago. I did extensive research (that is just me) the one that I found to be the best is GE Profile. Whirlpool got horrible reviews from Consumer Reports, as did Kitchenaide. I think its a good idea to have the appliances be of the same brand but its really your preference. I priced them everywhere and then went to Sears so that I could get the repair contract. Sears price matches so there was no issue.

All of our appliances are KitchenAide- stainless. We got them a year and a half ago. I love the look and they work great.
Easy for me to say, but I would TOTALLY splurge and go for the good stuff. Viking, Sub-Zero, Wolf!

We have stainless steel stove, microwave and dish washer in whirlpool. We like them.
We have a Samsung refrigerator and washer and dryer... I wish we could outfit our entire kitchen with Samsung... They are AMAZING. Not to mention, they look sleek and the digital displays look modern to me. We've had the refrigerator since 2007... and it still runs like a champ. The washer and dryer we've had since 2009 and they are great. Even when I do a load of cloth diapers daily!
