Are There Any Slippers That Last????

UGH! I have purchased 2 sets of slippers each for my husband and my older son (now 14) for the past two winters. I don't buy super-expensive ones ($15-$25 range), but they aren't super-cheap either. Are there any slippers out there that actually last??? They do wear them daily from early fall through late spring, but they are worn in the house only. Neither of them are particularly h*** o* their other shoes so this is particularly frustrating. I'm willing to pay more for QUALITY, but so far the "name" (Totes, Chaps, Dockers, Dearfoams, etc.) brands that I've purchased aren't lasting any better than the Target slippers.

What can I do next?

My FIL got his from LL Bean they are leather and lambs wool. He has used them every day for...maybe 5-7 years. They still look new.

My husband and I both have Sorrel brands (I have Nakiska, he has Mansawan, I think). We LOVE them. They've lasted us 2 years and counting. We can take the trash out in them because they have rubber souls, but they keep your feet warm. They had great reviews, and we were really picky because we'd never had a good pair either. Check them out. They're on the expensive side, but totally worth it.

I like moccasins and usually get them from Moccasin House online. Only soft sole will do for me. The crepe-sole ones are pretty much shoes, not slippers. Just picked up a set for my son, so we'll see how that goes. They last a long time.

I have Acorn slippers. They are very pricey, but they do last. I've been wearing the same pair for about 5 yrs. Also - they are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet!!!

Ever tried toe sox? They are durable, soft and comfy, with non-slip soles.

I agree with BVic, those moccasins slippers last and last - think some are lined with fo-fur on the inside, or wool... I see them at JC Penny allot.

Uggs...but they reeeally don't come cheap. Best time of year to buy them, though, because they go on massive xmas sales just like everything else.
