I have googled this but it's really hard to find this info. Need local arts and crafts shows to sell items. I am thinking christmas craft shows at churches, I only know of one right now. I would like to rent a spot to sell some stuff at. Thanks

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks ladies, I will try a few of these. I have went to a few smaller church ones in my area but the turnout was not very good. That's the only thing too, it just depends on if it's one that lots of people know about or not. There is a list of craft fairs online but it's spread out all over Texas and they aren't the smaller ones. I don't mind a larger craft show but those get booked alot earlier. I need extra christmas money and really am hoping this can help me out this year. I may take some pics of things and post on the local business section here too and see how it goes. However, thanks for all the info, I will look a few up and try to attend some.

09/25 Fall on the Mound Craft Show at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist
10/09 Harvest Craft Bazaar at FUMC The Colony
10/23 & 10/24 Canton in the City - Grapevine Convention Center

The above are all specifically about crafts... I'm not sure if you're also looking for regular fairs that include a vendor area, which includes crafts, such as Western Days Lewisville (9/25) St. Catherine Of Siena Autumnfest (9/25) Oktoberfest Southlake (10/1-3).

Good luck!

There are a couple that I am selling in:
October 16th at Crosspoint Church in McKinney
November 13th at Stonebridge United Methodist in McKinney
November 17th and 18th at Cottonwood Creek Church in McKinney

I know that some people advertise them on Craigslist as well so you may try looking there.

I know Wesley Methodist Church in Mckinney (on Virginia just west of 75) has a sign out front saying they're having a craft show, I think in early November, and are looking for vendors. You might look them up and give them a call.

Call your area Chamber of Commerce offices and ask them if and when their cities are having events like this. I just called my local office yesterday, and they only had 7 slots left for their November show! Good luck!

I would think in an area like the one you live iin there would be some sort of craft fair every weekend. You might try and look up sewing/quilting groups or businesses that sell fabrics to quilters. Some stores are more formated to quilters than others. Quilters use 100% cotton fabrics so the stores they use usually only carry 100% cotton, so the quilters would normally tend to congregate there and discuss the upcoming shows...if that makes sense, sorry, it is after all 3:19 am.

I also think that looking up scrapbooking stores would give some idea about craft fairs too, people who scrapbook like to try and sell homemade papers, die cuts, etc....

So, if you look where the people who go to crafts fairs may be shopping or even having classes then they will know aobut upcoming shows and which ones are good and which ones to avoid.

Both McKinney and Waxahachie have monthly trade shows. Might check with them. Just do a search for (city) trade days.

Have you considered going to the Bowie Flea Market? A lot of people go there. I think they are around the first Monday. Also, FBC Dallas hosts a craft fair sometimes. Contact the volunteers at All Saints Hospital in Ft. Worth. They do a big fair there every year. Good Luck.
