Best Bottles

I used the Johnson & Johnson bottles (munchkin) with my first two. It was the tilted kind. What is a good bottle to use now? I'm guessing this child will be gassy as well. How are the Playtex drop-ins? Do they cost a lot more than washing? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

What can I do next?

I used dr.brown bottles for both of my kids. Still using them.....! They have helped so much. My smallest is 9 mths and they have came out with so many new ventable bottles it is ridiculous. I love my dr.brown bottles other than cleaning 3 other pieces...:)I never really had a problem with gas...good luck and congrats

I loved the playtex drop ins. I used them for both my kids. The drop ins aren't terribly expensive either. If you have a BJ's membership you can get like 200 for $10. I thought they were worth it. Plus you can squeeze all the air out of the liner before you feed so the baby gets less gas. We also use to add the anti-gas drops to the bottle, instead of giving them to the baby. My kids never really had a problem with gas.

I am a huge fan of the Born Free bottles. While they are a little annoying at first, because they have that vent, you get used to washing the two extra parts quickly. And the vent really helps to prevent gas! Also, they are WONDERFUL when switching to sippy cups. All their parts can fit on any of the bottles/cups, so you can add handles or a soft sippy spout to the bottle. And it's so easy to switch from nipple to soft spout to hard spout. My son was exclusively on the sippy cup by 8 months, with no stress at all.

I really love them!

I've found that Dr. Brown's are the best bottles for gas.

dr Brown bottles are good I used them for my very colicy baby. But they are VERY hard to clean. The milk gets stuck in all the parts even when you soak them in hot soapy water. No joke it would take me about 1/2 an hour to clean 5-6 bottles I dreaded cleaning them. Well it got me to get her off the bottle to a cup asap. My daughter is now weaned from the bottle and if i have another I would definitely try another bottle type. I would try the playtex bottles. Less cleaning.

We use the old school glass bottles. I love them. They are easy to clean, heat easily, and I never have to worry that my child is getting any harmful toxins.

Born Free for Me!
Born free bottles are great, they have very interesting design w/ larger nipples. Best of all they are BPA free (which means they are not made from a dangerous plastic softener). I don't believe Dr Brown is BPA free, so beware. Here's a website w/ some more info on brands that may or may not have BPA-free bottles & sippy cups:

The best bottles are the drop-ins. they are the bottles where you drop in the plastic liners. They are the best bottles.
