Best Drugstore Foundation? Help!

I have tried mulitiple foundations, most recently, the Maybeline super stay makeup, but it's either too cakey, doesn't stay long enough, or makes my face really oily. I have acne scars and an uneven skin tone, so I need something that will cover evenly, not be cakey, and will stay on all day. Any suggesions?

What can I do next?

I really like Rimmel's Stay Matte Clarifying Foundation. I have ultra sensitive skin and rosacea, so lots of uneveness. It never feels oily and is around ~$7 at Target. Somone else recommended Clinique superfit, which I've worn before, but it always feels greasy on my skin.

I would suggest going to as many stores/websites as you can and asking for samples before you buy.

I really like Revlon Color Stay liquid foundation. Often they do a buy one get one free promotion. It stays on really well and gives really good coverage without looking fake. Bare Minerals is the best foundation ever though. Too expensive these days!

Drugstore brand? Can't help you there... BUT- I love Mary Kay Medium Coverage foundation. It covers beautifully and helps to absorb excess moisture your skin produces. It is wear-resistant and also has buildable coverage (meaning it won't look cakey if you need to put another thin layer on for more coverage.) For the uneven skin tone, try using a yellow concealer or concealer a shade lighter than your skin, or add another thin layer of the foundation.

I still break out time to time, and have dry spots too.(I'm 33 and stressed w/5 kids! lol). I know it's not drugstore-but the best foundation I've found for my skin and isn't cakey at all- is Clinique superfit(get at any Clinique counter). It's only like $13, and lasts awhile. I get the best coverage with it, and using my fingertips seems to blend way better than a sponge. I then use a concealer if needed, and Cover Girl clean pressed powder. I've went through all the foundations-cheap and more expensive, it's hard to find one that's just right!

I really like L'Oreal's Bare Naturalle powder foundation. I have a scar on my chin that I cover first with Dermablend (if you haven't found this already, it's super!). Then I apply the foundation. I have fair, splotchy skin and it really evens things out without looking like I'm wearing a mask. I get a lot of compliments on my porcelain skin and laugh inside because it's obvious they don't realize it's due to makeup!

I second the L'Oreal Bare Natureal line- their foundations and powders have great coverage, but feel light!

I love the Loreal Bare Natural Gentle Mineral Makeup. It comes in a little jar with a built-in brush. I just love it. I've been using the new Loreal Go 360 Clean facewash and it has really shrunk down my face pours, then I use a light moisturizer before applying the mineral foundation. It's worked super well. I just love it. I have freckles, so it's hard to find a foundation that looks natural.

Would you prefer liquid or creme to powder foundation? I have very light skin (and am very acne prone even in my late 20's!) and finding a great foundation was very difficult! I didn't have tons of money to spend, and it took me YEARS until I found the correct foundation for me. Long story short someone told me about Avon foundation and I was sold on it the first time that I tried it. They make mineral makeup, stick foundation, liquid, etc. I won't go on and on, but theres something for everyone in Avon's line. Check it out!

Have you tried Artistry? Artistry is one of the top 5 prestige cosmetic and skincare lines in the world. It is a botanical base and mineral foundation. I have sensitive skin and didn't wear a lot of make-up. This line competes with Lancome, Mac, and Estee Lauder. These are great cosmetic lines, but are very pricey. Artistry is a high quality product line, with price points like cover girls. Here is where I buy it from. I receive free shipping on orders over $75. www.figglesfit.com and if you would like to do more research on this line check out www.artistry.com
This is also the line that is a sponsor for the Miss American Pagent. Very Awesome!!
If you have any questions. Let me know.
