At 8mos, his digestive system won't be able to tell the difference in textures that can sometimes set off younger kids. (My kids were strictly formula fed.)
Formula content is federally regulated, so the nutrition/vitamin content is all the same.

PS: Please ignore the first response on here. I have no idea why someone would submit a post that judgemental to someone asking for help. When the day comes for her to step down from her high horse, maybe she'll have something valuable to contribute.

I do not think you can ask a question on which formula is best. YOU will have to decide, along with your pediatrician, which is best for your baby. Every baby is different and what works for one baby may not work for others. There are ALOT of fussy babies out there and when one mom says they couldn't use a certain type of formula that doesn't mean it won't work for others. And besides you don't know what things in addition to formula they give thier kids that would mess up their digestive system. I see moms giving thier infants tea, and juice at very young ages, and starting solids at 4 months and Im not judging but you have to wonder if those things are good at that age...so I would ask your Pedi, what he reccommends and then try it...With that said I think u should try to pump at work if you can(employers are supposed to allow you to by law) I didn't have a supply built up when I went back to work so I would pump 2 bottles a day at work, so my son only had to drink one bottle of formula while at daycare. Sometimes I would get up in the night and pump another bottle just to get ahead. But for me it was worth giving him the breastmilk so I didn't even have to worry about gassey, and fussing and spitting up that comes w/formula. So u might consider that as an option. It would only be for 4 more months then he can switch to whole milk! Good luck to you!

My baby did really well with the Target brand Sensitive formula. She took this much better than any brand name, and it's good on the pocketbook, too... Both my babies were breastfed initially, as well. With both, I would just breastfeed some, and then give a little formula in a bottle. Then, I just gradually increase the amount of formula little by little. Eventually, baby will take to bottle and formula pretty easily. I wouldn't go cold turkey on him.. it might be a lot for the digestive system.
Neither of my babies had any trouble going from breast to formula. There are some that will probably bash you on here for saying the "F" word, but just ignore them. You're the mom and you do what you feel is right. Take care.

I wish I could help you...CONGRATS on breast feeding for 8 months!! When I chose to go back to work with my second son, I pumped before I left and gave that to the day care. I don't know if that will work for you or not.

My GF with twins used Enfamil - I don't remember which one and now that they are 2 - I can ask her...but what I would do is ask my pediatrician for samples and see which ones he handles best...

We loved the Enfamil products.

I used Target brand because it was so easy on my baby and it was way cheaper than the store brands, but it had the same exact ingerdients and the same exact amount of those ingredients as the store brands.

We fed our baby Enfamil Premium (gold label). Similac products made him gassy.
