Hi,
I am looking for the best place(s) to buy fabric (to make drapes, cover cushions, etc), preferably near Far North Dallas/Plano. I tried Calico Corners and they were beyond unhelpful (and pricey to boot.) Many thanks for any suggestions! I would love to find some cute bargain fabric!

What can I do next?

Childress Fabrics--it's great and the people are very helpful....the main location is south of downtown Dallas but there is a smaller location right off Main Street in Frisco. It's great just not as big as the other one.

Cutting corners also has some great deals. You can sign up online and they will let you know about sales from time to time. Good luck.

I like The Fabric Yard on Midway road in Addison. Great variety, and awesome prices. I just got my fabric for draperies there.

Cutting Corners on Midway, south of Spring Valley and Fabric Yard on Midway just north of Beltline.

Golden D'ior on Harry Hines. They have TONS of fabric- I bought some for my daughters window treatments there. And very reasonable.
