I have an 11 year old and wants something different for her birthday which is in December. The YMCA offers a community room you can rent for parties and also you can rent the indoor pool. The YMCA in south Arlington has an indoor pool but I'm not sure about the others. Good luck!

We usually do big parties at a venue (Pump It Up or Alley Cats) but it got really spendy and our son could only invite so many guest. This year we did his birthday at a local rec center (very inexpensive) and utilized all their games and equipment. It was a Star Wars party so we made up neat names for each activity. We had enough money left over that we hired Darth Vader to make an appearance. The kids loved it.
