Boarding Two Dogs in Colleyville

We need to board our two dogs (or hire a petsitter!) over the holiday break in Dec/Jan. Because we recently moved to the area, we don't have any experience with places to board in the Colleyville/Southlake/Grapevine area and would LOVE some recommendations. In the past boarding has been traumatic for one of our dogs and I want to make sure we find a great place. Thanks!

I love the boarding place we use. They are called Canine Country Inn. (www.caninecountryinn.com). They have large boarding runs and two dogs can stay in one larger kennel if you want them to - my dogs like to stay together.

They are in Argyle which is a bit north of Flower Mound but they are worth the drive.
Let me know if you have any questions.

If they are small to medium sized, I have the perfect person! Her name is Terry Baltzell and her company is called Luv-A-Dog. Phone # is ###-###-####.

She is in Hurst, which is not too far but the beauty is she will come pick them up from your house and drop them off when you return! And for WAY less than most other facilities. We have used her services for about four years now and my fur babies and I just love her! Yours will be well taken care of too.

Tell her M. Curtin sent you!

The Pet Mansion in Roanoke is fabulous! ###-###-####
It's on 114 just east of 377. The dogs get lots of attention, there's plenty of room and they can play with other doggies if they like that sort of thing. You can check out their website for more info. www.thepetmansion.com

I would definately recommend Elite Suites in Southlake. You can actually watch your dog on the computer and they get to watch TV in their suites. It is the only place we board our babies. The only place I had a very bad experience and would never board my dog is Creekside Petcare. In the past I have boarded at Canine Country Inn, but it doesn't compare to Elite Suites.

I have always used Southlake Animal Hospital in Southlake on 114 and white chapel. When I went out of town over memorial day weekend they started charging extra for holidays and you had to put down a deposit. I heard really great things about Creekside in Keller. It is on Davis almost to 1709. These people are awesome!!!! They have a great staff and wonderful facilities! When I looked for the memorial day weekend, I called every local veterinarian and kennel and this was the best price. I was quite happy with the price and the people! ####-###-####
I have also used Kennel Kare in Keller on Pearson. I would not recommend them just because my dogs are inside dogs and they have indoor/outdoor runs and also because they charge you for everytime you want your dog walked outside of the kennel.
I hope this helps and good luck!!!

We love Dogs Unleashed in the Keller/Fort Worth area. It would be a "bit of a hike" from Colleyville, depedning on exactly where you are in Colleyville...maybe 20 min. BUT they are worth it!!!! Great staff, clean faciltities, lots of other dogs to play with, reasonable rates... I have only postive things to say about Dogs Unleashed.

If you decide to let your dogs stay there, please tell them I recceommneded them

Good Luck,

My sister-in-law does pet/house sitting. Her name is Beverly ###-###-####. She has quite a few people at the church that she sits for when they go out of town.

My two labs go to Canine Country Inn (www.caninecountryinn.com) and love it. Bob's prices are more reasonable than most vets' offices. He has all indoor/outdoor runs which are great. Our female lab always had urinary tract infections at other boarding facilities because she was not walked often enough!

If you are looking for in-home care, contact Robbie w/ www.dfwpetnanny.com or 214/729-9725. She is awesome. Robbie loves all animals and goes the extra mile for any furry companion (and human).

I highly recommend Daisy Petsitting. It is run by a husband and wife team, Greg and Marsha, who absolutely love animals. It's very affordable for multiple pets as they only charge for the number of visits and not per animal. They will check your mail, water your plants, administer pet meds, whatever you need. I use them every time I'm out of town and can travel at ease.

I have to second the suggestion of the PetsHotel at Petsmart. We leave our lab there every time we go out of town. I would highly recommend spending a little extra money and let your dogs do the "doggie day camp" so they get extra playtime with other dogs. They take excellent care of our dog every time.

Valley Ranch Pet Clinic

It is near the intersection of 635 and MacArthur. They have big runs for the dogs, multiple walks a day, and the dogs are happy to go. I like that much better than the little cages.
