I advise against it...if your babies get used to their milk being warm, what are you going to do when you're not at home and have access to the warmer?

I got one from target the first years.. it worked really well for us I know it had gotten some bad reviews but we loved it.. we eventually just used the microwave (gasp).. and if you're away and you need to heat up a bottle (like at a restaurant) ask for hot water from the coffee maker, stick the bottle in and voila warm bottle.

If you pre-prepare formula bottles for the day and refrigerate them, then the bottle warmer is a great way to quickly bring the cold bottle back to room temp. We always used less water than the directions specified so that it wasn't that warm, but just not so cold. We had a simple First Years warmer too, and it was perfect.

I bought the cheapest one at Target, it was fool proof and worked perfect. You fill it to the midway line for jarred baby food or to the top line for a tall bottle and stick it in, when the light turned green it was ready. My bottles usually took roughly 1 1/2 minutes. Jarred baby food took a little longer but my babies seemed to never care if their food was warm or cold.

I am assuming you would like one but are aware that you don't need one. Formula is just fine at room temperature and frozen breast milk should be thawed overnight in the refrigerator or under running water (max 37 degrees C). When DS wanted his bottle - he wanted it NOW (actually 5 minutes ago) - not in 2 minutes or however long the warmer would have taken.

the first years brand from target was the cheapest and turned out to be the best thing ever! also I bought a munchkin brand travel warmer- never really used it, but the few times I did, it was ok. plugs into your car cigarette lighter and it takes a little while, but it would do ok I guess for long car road trips if u ever needed it in a pinch.

I like my munchkin bottle warmer... it is quick and works great (in my opinion)- I got it with my first daughter and it was perfect for us. Simple, easy to clean... functional and small!

You can find it on amazon under "Munchkin Deluxe Bottle And Food Warmer With Pacifier Cleaning Basket"

The only thing about it that is somewhat annoying is that when it is done warming the beep is a little loud. I don't mind it much myself... but I guess it could bother some people. Maybe if I used bottles more often I would mind it more!
