Bugaboo BEE Anyone???

Anyone have the bugaboo bee??? I haven't bought a stroller yet (aside from the snap and go) and can't decide...I do reall like the bugaboo frog but I'm pretty petite and in and out of the car all the time, so I'm concerned that I'll get really frustrated with the bulk of it.

If anyone has the BEE I'd love to hear how you like it. Is it ok on more rough terrain- like manhattan walking and non-smooth sidewalks, etc. Is it a smooth ride? Is your child comfy in it? At what age did you start using it?

What can I do next?

If you want a quick in and out of the car strller look at maclarens and also the quinee. The Boga Boo Bee is very narrow and seems flimsey, for that price there are much better options out there.

I do not have a bugaboo bee, but I do have the chameleon and I've checked out the bee extensively :) I can't speak for Manhattan terrain, but I used to live in Hoboken and many moms had one there. I don't think you can use it for a newborn, but I think 5 months should be fine. I'd say to go a store, and plop your baby girl in there and roll around the store. good luck!

I have the Maxi Cosi Foray which is compared to the Frog. I really like it a lot. It is good on all terrain and your child can sit facing out or facing you. It is pretty easy to break down (seat comes off, frame folds in half essentially). I also really appreciate that it sits higher than most strollers so I can pull my daughter right up to the table if we eat out.

I recently bought the BEE for my sister who is having her first child this summer. The BEE is much more compact than my cameleon. My sister drives a small car so the cameleon did not fit her trunk. The BEE fits perfect and is also lighter and cheaper :-) if you have a small trunk its a must. It works for infants to toddler. About the wheels, its really more for the smooth terrain definetly not for the sand or rough terrain like the cameleon. If you are a regular at the park, beach or enjoy hiking then you should stick with the cameleon or frog they are both lite as well as so comfy for baby and trendy :-)once you get the hang of it you wont think its bulk.

just to throw it out there, i have a rock star baby and love it. i did get it since birth which is great as it comes with the pram, and can be used as a snap and go, and then a regular seat. because everything is included, it was a much better price, guess its too late for the pram though since your daughter is already too old. the wheels are pretty good too imo. i personally think though all the frame strollers with removeable seats take up more room just because of the wheels. instead of spending the whole amount on the bugaboo, you could spend the same on the rock star baby, a jogging stroller for walking and parks, and a little maclaren for traveling. that way, you wont wear out one stroller by using it in situations it wasnt made for.

I have the Frog, and I', not too crazy about the break down process. I like the way it rides, but it doesn't provide much storage. Also my son is not really a stroller baby, so we hardly use a stroller. I have however, used it in the city, and it rides great. Not too sure about the Bee, haven't tried it.

I'm researching the bee as well, it holds up to 37.5 lbs, so it will last longer than the previous post listed, I tested one at a store, and it is very smooth, it takes a bit to get used to folding it down, I say, if you don't have another stroller to get this one, I wish I would have bitten the bullet and gotten it sooner My girl is 8 months now! I love the canopy, you can face the seat forward to look at your baby (that's worth the price alone right?), the basket is big, and it is really great looking!
It is also narrower than the frog or chameleon,so a plus if you are in the city!
I say go for it!

the Bee is only food up to 25 lbs so it's not such a wise investment. i have the Frog. It's wonderful - we just moved from Manhattan and it served its purpose there. However, it's heavy and difficult to break down. We now use a Maclaren to go in and out of the car and the bugaboo for long walks. Good luck

Save your money. I hear they are really hard to open and shut. It's a trend to have a bugaboo, a trend that i think is on it's way out. Seriously, save your money.
