We lose shoes. Drives me crazy- kids should grow out of shoes not lose them. And I can't really blame my two-year-old for losing shoes since she is a baby! We loved our toms so am going to buy some more of those. Is there another shoe out there that you all love?
Do you all lose shoes?

What can I do next?

My kids have done really well with Sketchers. There is an outlet close to my house that has frequent sales. I have heard other Moms complaining about the quality of Sketchers, but they wear quite well with my kids.

I love Toms -- but I think little ones need really, really well structured shoes as their day-to-day footwear. For us, that was always Striderite. I'd buy other, cute shoes for occasional wear, but quality shoes first. Developing feet are too important.

My son wears flip flops all summer long, so I don't mind if he loses those. However, he has two pairs of shoes. One for home/outside, and one for school. Both are Sketchers. I love Sketchers shoes for him. They last a long time, and are made well. He likes them so much, he is always very conscious where he leaves them!

You lose shoes? I don't know if it's because you live in California and the weather is always nice so you are throwing your shoes off all the time. We have never lost our shoes...anyway, I always buy Stride Rite. They have sales all the time and one pair lasts 3-5 months easily.

Yes my girls have lost shoes! So frustrating! I finally realized it was the Velcro ones that they could easily take off by themselves, and would throw it out of their stroller while we were in a store & I wouldn't realize it until we got to the car. Then I'd go back in the store & search for it, but usually never found it! Shoes and hair bows. Good thing I learned how to make the bows myself! Lace up shoes are great---tie in a double knot & they're a lot harder to take off/lose. I just bought my 2 yo Velcro Sketchers that light up (they match her older sister's), and the first time she wore them was in Target and I accidentally tripped over it when it fell from her stroller! Ugh! So glad I found it!! Regretting matching shoes now! ;) At least I usually remember to check her feet pretty often now! :) My 5 year old doesn't do that anymore.

Guess I am lucky. 4 kids all one year apart and never lost a shoe or both.
They were always on their feet where they should be and at night they went in one spot.

I love Crocs. Love em, just love em. They are easy for kids of all ages to put on themselves and they have SO many styles and all are adorable. I know they aren't great "support" shoes, but they are so easy and washable! We have a Crocs store that opened near us this year so it's easy and convenient to go in there b/c they always have coupons. I do like Stride Rite a lot as well and I also really like Converse. They are cute. My 5 y/o daughter likes them b/c they have some wacky designs, but she still can't tie so I have to help with that part.

Really where do they lose them? I am surprised a 2 year old loses them, older kids maybe but a 2 year old? My son is 2.5 years old, never lost a shoe until now. He always wears them outside or I keep it aside if he is not wearing it.I take it as my responsibility because kids his age really can't be held responsible yet. But then I just have one kid, and we buy expensive shoes(stride rite) so he only has 2 pairs at a given time until he outgrows them or the season changes.. So maybe it's easier to keep track. Also , losing a shoe means he won't have anything to wear until we buy a new one.

It is very common for babies to lose shoes. My youngest always lost one shoe. I started a "trophy" shoe shelf and just put the 1 remaining shoe there as a souvenier of what was left. I eventually gave a shoe away here and there to her god parents, grandma's and granddad for the car or curio cabinet.

I personally love the new walking shoe by Skecher. It's like walking on a cloud.

We can't lose shoes here, it's too damn hot!!

Not really brand loyal here. Usually whatever's on sale & looks half way decent. Right now it's Saucony for DD & some off brand for me. DH loves his slip on Vans.
