Hi moms, I'm was thinking about taking a few of my kids and their friends (age ranges from 2 to 4) to the Children's Museum in Dallas. We've never been there so we would love to have some input as to whether this place is worth it or not. Thank you in advance. ~B

Hi, I just took my 3 year old boy to this museum a couple of weeks ago. Personally I think is kind of old and need some maintenance but for kids I think is good becuase is something new and different, my son did like it. Also, there is a kids area where they can play and it looked ok, but we did not have the chance to enter. We bought tickets for the IMAX and that was really great. There are couple of movies you can watch, but we picked Alaska and we really enjoy it.

LOVE the Dallas Children's Museum!! I live in Keller and made the trek across town with my son about two years ago. We had a really wonderful time. We brought a lunch to save some money. And we just saw the museum, we did not visit the imax theater. The exhibits are all hands on and interesting. The children's museum portion has a lot of really great activities for all age and ability levels. My in-laws took both my son (4) and my daughter (1) last month. They raved about the time spent there. Apparently my daughter loved the water tables and the fire truck slide. My son liked the magnet gears and microscopes. They are planning another trip as soon as possible to take my sister in law's kids. Have fun!

Yes!!! Definitely worth it. I have a membership there and we go there about once every 4-6 weeks. We go with our neighbors. The kids are between 1-4. My 4 yr old son could spend the whole day there. We bring a lunch. The seating indoors is for the cafe, so I buy a bag of chips ($1.25) and we all sit at the indoor tables. The outdoor tables are public. There is an indoor sandbox to dig for dinosaur bones too. It's just a great indoor play place to get out from the heat. If you decide to be a member the day you visit, they will refund your admission. I think it's worth it.
