Here's my question....Whats the best thing to clean those small squirty duckys after they get that build up in them...I've flushed them with hot water when cleaning but what can I use to get rid of the "gunk" for good. Also when bath mats get the "black" circle under neath what the best cleaning solution????

What can I do next?

Clorox makes a cleaner called CLOROX ANYWHERE cleaner. It is the perfect blend of bleach and water to disinfect, but doesn't stain anything! LOVE IT! I spray with this cleaner, scrub with a toothbrush in anything stubborn, and run through the dishwasher. When it looks like funk on the inside, I throw away! Good luck!

Bleach.
Read the bottle, do a dilution. I would probably fill the tub just enough to cover the toys , or use a bucket, then add 1 or 2 cups of bleach. Make sure it gets inside the squirt toys. Let it soak for 15 - 1/2 hour depending on the strength. Then rinse well.

I put the toys in the nipple basket I used back when my little man used bottles... then put it in the dishwasher with any toy that is the same material. I figure why not clean them all at once.

I use the sanitize setting with normal liquid dishwashing soap (dawn works for me) and it normally gets all that yucky stuff in there. If you wait to long to clean them you may need to scrub them with a hard bristol brush and dawn water.

For future reference, the inside wont turn brown if you double over a towel and put them on the floor then step on them. (Get all the water out and dry them quickly.)

I would throw them away that black stuff is mold/mildew and can harm your little one! If you don't want to throw them away sock them in heavy concentrated bleach water for at least 24 hours.

A 1 to 5 ratio or bleach and water. Suck up some of the bleach water into the ducks and shake well to loosen up the gunk. Then rinse well. Good luck!

soak them in white vinegar and water and make sure you suck up the mixture and let it sit inside for a little while. If that does not work, if it is really moldy, use bleach and water and let it soak. The mat should be picked up every time it is used and let it hang dry and you won't have any mess anymore.

normally the Gunk in the toys is mold just throw them away. try to stick with hard solid toys for the tub. or use a beach water solution and let it sit for a few days. good luck i know how much of a pain that is!

I use bleach and then rinse the toys really well with hot water afterwards. And just to let you know, the toys can still get gunky again but if you make a habit of squeezing them out at the end of each bath, it will help keep them clean longer.

Put the toys and the mat in the tub with clorox/bleach and soak for an hour or so. Then your toys, mat and tub are clean. I also put the mat in the washing machine with bleach and hot water sometimes, that seems to do even better. The dishwasher is great for small toys too.

I am not sure about the duck gunk, maybe flushing with vinegar. The bath mat can be soaked in the tub with bleach water. Try to rinse, use brush before hand to see if you can remove any of it. The bleach will lighten up the black areas but probably won't remove them totally. We just get a new one whenever I have a few extra dollars. Also if you pick up the bath mat and hang it to dry over a rail or side of the tub it will not get the black to begin with. I know this can be a hassle unless you have someplace convenient to hang but it does the trick. Good Luck!

Not sure about the duckys, but for the bath mat try Tilex Mold & Mildew remover. Just spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes & wipe with a sponge or scrub a little with a brush. It has worked great for me.
