Cleaning Glass Showers

Hi,

My mom bragged so much about her cleaner I just had to try it and now I am also hooked. We have my whole family using Zep products. Home Depot carries almost the entire line of their products and the Tile,Tub,and Shower cleaner is the best!!!! I can pretty much swear by any and all cleaners that they offer but I do know that it is much easier to clean the shower since starting my love affair with Zep.

Prior to this I always used "The Works". You can find them almost anywhere, but I used to pick them up at the local dollar store. The shower cleaner works quite well also, but Zep products are just awesome if you can find the time to hit Home Depot!

I hate it too.......i clean my shower with normal cleaning products but towards the bottom of the glass door is where it gets yucky like a thick fog, the only thing that seems to get it completely clean is the magic erase sponge it works great.......i also found a daily shower cleaner that i use after each shower that is great its scrubbing bubbles shower shine it has a pink nozzle & spray handle, the only place i can find it is at jewel.

I would also recommend vinegar or a baking soda paste...it will still take some scrubbing though....and once it is clean, spray on car wax to keep it looking good and make it easier to clean in the future:)

I would suggest using undiluted white vinegar. Just pour it into a spray bottle and spray it directly on the glass. It may take a few days and some scrubbing, but vinegar really works just as well as any cleaner to get off those water deposits.

I hate cleaning the bathroom shower too, but here's what works for me:

I wipe down the glass doors with CLR Bathroom (in a yellow bottle) using a Mr Clean sponge. It wipes RIGHT OFF with NO scrubbing, but it stinks. Despite this smell, it is the best thing that I have found. For the bottom of the shower, i turn the shower on to create wetness and then sprinkle with Comet and I let it sit for a few hours or however long I have. I scrub that off with one of those old school scrubbing brushes that you find in the cleaning aisle.

My glass doors are horrible too!! I always use baking soda and vinegar to clean my shower. Be careful not to use them together though or you will get a science project. But usually about 9 parts water to 1 or 2 parts vinegar should work very well for the glass doors. To really get it to shine use newspaper. That's what the ladies on "How clean is your house" recommend. You could also try lemon juice mixed in with either for a better smell. Good luck!!

I use Lemon Oil (furniture cleaner, any brand)on a soft cloth. It will take some work at first, but after that, once or twice a week will keep it shining. No water spots.

I have done this before and it has worked:.

Wet the shower doors, and place sheets of paper towel on the entire surface. Then spray the paper towels with vinegar, go back later and spray one more time, and leave this on for a few hours or overnight. Then go back and remove and wipe down.

Now for our shower doors upstairs, they are really hard to clean, so I bought some Comet and I am going to try that, and see if it works.

Once you have the doors clean, apply a coat of car wax on the doors. Reapply after every cleaning.
