Clothespin Arts & Crafts

I bought a big bag of wooden clothespins (the kind with the metal spring), as that large bag was all they had at the time I went to the store. I only used 12 for a project (Martha Stewart's card-display ring). So now I have 88 extra wooden clothespins. There are a lot of activities out there. Thought I'd narrow my search by seeing what you ladies like/know.

I do plan to make at least one or two of these post-it-reminder-clips, http://familyfun.go.com/back-to-school/back-to-school-par...
so now I'm down to 86 extra wooden clothespins.

Ideas? Thanks!
(And yes, I know I could donate them, or hang clothes with them or clip my chips with them. I'm looking more for craft ideas. I have one 3 yr old son, btw. So any ideas that include him would be even better.)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

That chandelier is amazing! Perfect for a laundry room. Not sure if I could do that, but it may be worth a try. Please keep more ideas coming! I love all of them. I think I have some googly eyes around here somewhere.

on nickjr.com, we did a project of wow wow wubbzy. they had pictures you print and cut, then glue to clothespin. put magnet on the other leg of the clothespin and you have a fridge magnet clip.
you can do this w/ photos, so each family member's stuff is clipped to them, or each person's artwork, depending how many kids...
I do recommend using heavy paper or protecting the paper in some way, as it tended to curl after some use. have fun!

Paint them a horse/deer color, glue on googly eyes, draw on a face and hooves, and make a horse/deer from profile. the pointy bits are the ears/antlers, the bottom obviously feet. The deer could be fun for christmas ornament attachment.

Pin a string along the wall, paint the clips, and use them to hang pictures and drawings in the kids rooms.

Put magnet strips on the back, maybe glue something fun on the front, and make refrigerator magnets.

Take them and paint them Christmas colors. Then you and your child can decorate them, take colored string to clip them on, and they will then be great for hanging Christmas cards from. Can also decorate them for hanging your child's coloring pages.

My son brought home a project he did where he colored the clothespin green, then glued on eyes to make an alligator.
The other projects I have are for the non-spring type. Reindeer ornament- 2 flat clothespins make 4 legs, third clothespin is the antlers. Round-head clothespin with pipe cleaners and pompoms becomes a drummer boy ornament. Round-head clothespin with fabric becomes a lady with dress and hat.

For you: I sprayed mine silver & use them to hang my Christmas cards.
I have two long pretty silver wide metallic ribbons that hang down to which I affix the Christmas cards to with the clothespins.

For the kids: you buy those googly eyes and fuzzy balls to make cute mice. Glue the eyes (tiny ones) & the fuzzy balls for a nose to one end
of the clothes pin.

I also keep a few to hang a few clothes out on a line that can't go in the dryer.
