Could I Be Pregnant and Have Symptoms Already?

Hello ladies-

Quick question....I had my last period on Feb 2. That was the first day that I had it. My husband & I had alittle OOPS recently and now I am feeling nausea's all the time. I actually threw up yesterday. But, I don't quite understand. Even if I was pregnant, could I really be having symptoms this early on? I have a son, so I do realize the signs with pregnancy. And I am just extremely sensitive to smells recently and even the thought of certain foods. Is this the flu or am I pregnant?? Testing wouldn't even work because my period isn't due until next month! What do you think?

What can I do next?

Thank you everyone for your responses. I decided to get a blood test done today to find out. I will know by tomorrow. I just couldn't wait! I keep throwing everything up!!

It is possible that you could be pregnant. I have been pregnant 4 times. My 1st pregnancy I started getting sick the day after conception. It took over 2 weeks to get a positive test. Also with my 5 year old I was sick for a few weeks before a positive test. Hang in there. Hopefully it either gets better because it is the flu or you have been blessed with another baby! P.

Some women are more sensitive to the HCG pregnancy hormone than other women and/or than they were with previous pregnancies. You can start to develop pregnancy symptoms within a few days of conception.

The most accurate reading of a urine pregnancy test is to wait approximately 17 days from the time you had sex in which you think pregnancy might've occurred.

You can receive a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL high quality pregnancy from any of the pregnancy resource centers listed on www.optionline.org -- Click on Find a Center, then type in your zip code and click on Find Location.

I wish you the best outcome of your test results... K. :)

Well, you ovulate, on average, about 2 weeks after your period. So the timing could fit. It's always a possibility. Don't forget there's a bunch of stomach flu's going around right now too. Grab a test and see what it says.

Despite popular belief you can have a period the first month or two of pregnancy. Good Luck.

I actually had pregnancy symptoms VERY early with my second child. I wanted Hot Tamales (the candy) all the time from about a week BEFORE I even missed my period! I started getting sick very early too. I did not have breast tenderness that early, though, but the silly cravings were definitely there. If you buy one of those cheap tests (like a Kroger or other store brand) that come two in a pack for less than $10, then I would say, by all means take it; then you'll have another one, just in case you get a negative result and feel like you should take it again in 2 weeks. My guess is, if you are actually pregnant and your hormones are changing enough to make you feel ill, then the test should show up positive. I hope this makes sense and that everything works out for you!

your doctor or local hospital lab could most likely do a serum pregnancy test, which is to test your blood. it can tell no matter how early. the hospital i use for lab work, which is a charity hospital, has the test for 10 dollars, no appointment necessary. check with your local charity hospital. where i go it is referred to as the "retail lab".

You may be able to find out... I was able to find out w/ 2 of my children within 2 wks.... However, the coloring was faint, it was there.... And, if your really not sure, ask your doctor for a blood pregnancy test......

I have four kids and none of them happened after one of our OOPS, not to say it can't happen but I have had the same experience of knowing it was a possibility because we were not careful and having pregnancy like symptoms only to find out I was not pregnant it is one of the worst waiting games thou.

You're gonna have to wait it out cause you're right a test won't so you any good but it could all be in yoru head, i've had it happen to me, it's oops and then omg and next thing you know i'm sick every morning and flipping out, jsut to find out i wasn't pregnant at all, so try to stop thinking about it and see what happens and lord knows if you are late next month take a test.

Hello A.. When I was pregnant with my first child I had nausea within the first few weeks. I didn't have any idea that I was pregnant for about a month later. My advice is to live like you are pregnant. Then if you happen to be there are no worries. Best of Luck!

I was sick at three weeks into my pregnancy. I also took a pregnancy test BEFORE I missed my period before and it was positive, sure enough I was pregnant, Both my daughter and My lost baby were oops, so it is very possible, what's it going to hurt to buy a cheap test and take it now? nothing. The more you worry and stress the longer you pd could take
