Am I crazy? Anyone else out there with this many children who is successfully dating? I'm dating just not finding a man who wants a real relatsionship. I think of stopping and waiting til my youngest son is 18, that's three more years. Tired and lonely single mom. M. E.

What can I do next?

Everyone deserves to have a companion in their life if that is what they want. Remember the old saying "you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find a prince" because now its never been more true! Pray hard and look for people in the 'right' places! It will happen and never feel bad about wanting more for yourself! Good luck.

I believe dating to have adult companionship is great but not every date should be introduced or integrated with your children. Unless you are serious and considering marriage keep your dating life separate. It worked for me.

I am also a mom of 6 kids trying to date. I've been single 4 years nd your right men don't want a serious relationship with a woman with so many kids. But i've learned to be patient, my kids are my life and i don't want just any man around them anyway. I believe there is the perfect guy out there somewhere who will love me for me and my kids. So I spend time with my kids, friends, and family and wait for that day. The nights are the worst, but hang in there and enjoy your time with your kids. It's worth it.

I have six children, and I have a hard time finding time to date my own hubby! I think you have good advice here...it's natural and normal to want companionship, and just pray that God will put the right person in your life.

Good luck!

Hi M.,

Have you thought about praying for God to bring you a man who will not be afraid to make a commitment to a women with children. It is not the number of children that scare most men it is children period. And God knows who you need and who your children need as a father. Hope this helps and remember He(God) is with you through these times.

There is nothing wrong with finding a GOOD reason to shave your legs, wear the pretty earrings, & let someone else pay for dinner ( & clean up) It'll help keep you feeling human & help show your kids that real moms are also active people with lives too.
