Hi everyone -
I have a two year old daughter who I have been blessed to be home with since she was born. Unfortunately, I now have to go back to work. I just had an interview and if I get the position, they will need me to start right away. Can anyone recommend a good daycare facility? I live in Round Lake Beach, but the job would be in the Lincolnshire area, so I'm considering places in both areas. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!!

You can also check the "local Business reviews" tab here on mamasource.com They have several daycares listed in Lake County area along your travel route.

R., I own a foreign language school. I work with many daycare/preschools in the Lake County area. If you want you can email me privately or call me. Once I see what your specific needs/wants are I can recommend some for you to visit. I also have a preschool/daycare tour guide I can send you. It helps you keep track of the different schools and has a list of questions to ask.

R.,
Young at Heart is located in Libertyville off of 137. The teachers are great and my son has attended for almost three years and overall I have been happy. The facility is a little older than some of the other daycare's I visited but the teachers were great and they have always been very flexible. I believe there are openings now too. I would also recommend Condell in Libertyville on Milwaukee Avenue and would be sort of in the middle for you. Condell typically has a waiting list but depending on when you return and the fact that your daughter is older it might be a little easier to get them in compared to an infant. I also visited Poko Loko and have some friends who send thier children there and have been very happy. I believe Round Lake actually offers daycare through the park district too. Hope this helps.

You can search for top quality daycare/preschools by going to www.naeyc.org. The National Association for the Education of Young Children is an accreditation body that has very high standards. Only about 10% of centers/preschools nationwide are NAEYC accredited. You can go to the site and click on search by ZIP code. At the very least, you will be able to populate a list of places to go visit.

Hi R., I do in home daycare in Libertyville which is in between the two towns. If you are interested feel free to contact me. I have a couple of 2 year olds that your daughter can play with, as well as get the comfort of being at home like she was.

Have a great day.
