Has anyone found a cheaper alternative to the $5 refill bag?

We turned ours into a regular trash can and began using it with regular trash bags. If there was a really messy one, we'd wrap it in a plastic grocery bag first.

I had a Diaper Genie too, but I didn't like it. Could you use bread bags? I never tried it but it may work???

I used to use a diaper genie for my first kid. After that, I just threw the diapers away in the trash. I buy those little scented diaper sacs and use one of those every time I have to throw away a stinky diaper. They aren't very much and you get quite a bit in a box.

My daughter uses regular kitchen trash bags.. or the larger plastic shopping bags from department stores.
