Ok may be a stupid question but..Are there any particular brand diapers out there that work better for little boys? He is 2 months old and the brand of diapers we used for our daughter just don't seem to work well with him, they always leak. Any suggestions??
Thanks

Hi Brandie,

I have a little boy and a little girl. With my little boy I found that regular pampers worked best on him. He leaked with huggies and loves. But with my little girl, I found that regular huggies work best for her and not pampers. So it is really kind of funny. I hope this helps you...you got a lot of good advice.

Hi Brandie - We swore by regular Pampers diapers for our son (who's now 4). He was really big for his age then too (100 percentile) and they never leaked on us unless it was just a really huge amount (thank you mother-n-law for not changing him). We tried Huggies first because that's what my sister had used for her two boys but they leaked for us everynight we used them. Store brands didn't work either because not only did they not have enough absorbancy but they felt really scratchy. We didn't try Costco brand diapers, but their wipes and 'pull-ups' brands were great when we were using them so maybe their diapers are too. Good luck!

Well I know what you mean. I worked in a daycare and Huggies don't work as well on boys than the girls.

However I never had good luck with huggies with my 2 which are 3 and 1 1/2 1 boy 1 girl. Since I always got coupons for them either in the sunday paper or in the mail through pampers.com
I stayed with them. SInce we are in training pants
I have used both Huggies Pull Ups and Pampers what ever is on sale and both work but my son can now take the side apart on huggies, but he liked thm cuz they have CARS. He are working at Potty time now. Wish he get it !

I loved the Huggies contoured shape for my son at this age. But by the time he was 6 months old, we switched to Walmart Parent's Choice brand. That brand is fine now, but at the beginning the cheaper brands just didn't fit him right. (For me anyways!)

Hi Brandie,
I have used the Costco and Sam's brand for both of my boys and LOVE them! I have rarely had leaks, I think they are better than Huggies or Pampers!! Sam's Club also have a wonderful version of the Pull-Ups (when you are ready) that are great and a lot less $$

Good Luck!

I have always used regular Huggies (not the premium ones) my boys, with no leaking. They did not work on my girls at all. With the girls it was pampers, luvs, store brand, but mostly cloth :) Keep in mind, babies are built differently, chunkier or thinner in different spots, etc. And if you are getting close to the recommended top weight range in a particular size, go ahead and move up a size.

At that age we used the Pampers Swaddlers. They worked great because all the others we tried leaked with him. When he got older the Swaddlers become the Cruisers and we did not like those. So now he is in Huggies Natural Fit. Good luck.

I always used Huggies for my boys and didn't have any problems. If you're going for cheap, White Cloud is the equivelant to Huggies.

With my daughter Pampers Swadlers worked best. With my nephew we swore by Huggies. Definitely a difference boy vs. girls.

With two large, active boys, Pampers swaddlers and cruisers worked best. Huggies were always too small. Good Luck!

in answer to your direct question, no there are no boy specific diapers. However there are diapers that work best with specific babies and or that answer you are just going to have to keep trying different brands. We use the swaddlers from pampers and have no issues what so ever, I am planning on switching to the cruisers next to see if they work for us. I have heard the crisers are "just ok" but we shall see every baby has different diaper needs just keep trying. I have a package of swaddlers 1 that no longer are needed if you would like to try them out ____@____.com
