I have a 17 mth old daughter was has an issue with her scalp being dry. She's always had an issue but it was okay for awhile. I just noticed it the past week. I've been putting Aquafor lotion on it but its so thick and hard to get on her scalp. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Arbonne's baby stuff is great--I'd use the wash for her hair and you could put a little of the oil on if you need to. Let me know if you'd like a sample and I'll send you some to try!

I use Emu shampoo on myself and my son for mild dry scalp. That way you can scrub it in, comb it with a fine tooth comb (to loosen any scales) and then wash it out without grease left over. If you do a search online for Emu shampoo, you can find several stores that sell it. After 2 weeks of us, neither of us have had any more dryness!

Olive oil works best. It's a food, so it's good for the skin. I've used it on my little one (1 mo. old) and it soaks in pretty well, so I don't even need to wash it out.

Jojoba oil works great for helthy hair, skin and nails. We suggest it for people with psorisis. It is very similar to the natural oils in the skin. I would stay away from the aquafor, as it has mineral oil in it and though it might work temporaraly, mineral oil doesn't let anything absorb in the skin or let anything out of the skin. You want the skin to be able to "breath" so to say. I am an independent rep for a company that sells Jojoba oil. If you are interested PM me and I can give you a website to visit.

My doctor recommended using baby oil for my daughter's dry scalp. I imagine it would be a lot easier than the thick Aquaphor.
