I was wondering if anyone could give me a recommendation on an Ear, Nose and Throat physician that they have used. I just found out that my daughter has to get tubes and the cards I got from my doctor are for Neelesh H. Mehendale, MD; Richard L. Ragsdale, D.O.; and Thomas C. Frank, M.D. Has anyone used or heard of them or does anyone have someone they would personally recommend? Thanks for any info you can give me.
I live in Allen

Both my husband and I have been to Dr. Mehendale (pronounced Meh HEN da lay), and we really like him. Also, he's at Centennial, in a fairly new office, so you don't have to wait forever to get in to see him. He's not a pediatric specialist, but I know Dr. Ragsdale isn't either. I don't know anything about the third doctor.

I have used Dr. Rafie, ENT in McKinney
I have used them in the past and been happy with them. My 2 sons have had both had tubes and everything went just
fine.

Hi A.,
My 2.5 year old got tubes and had an adenoidectomy in April. We used Dr. Gregory Rohn at Presby Plano. His group is called Southwest ENT Associates. I highly recommend them. They were fabulous to work with and Dr. Rohn is outstanding. He put us all at ease which is saying a lot. By the time we got referred to him my daughter had some serious doctor anxiety. If you need more information, please feel free to e-mail me back.

Good luck to you! We tried everything under the sun before resorting to tubes, and the surgery was so worth it. The difference is unbelievable.

All the best,
A.

Since this was posted 2 years ago, I'm assuming that you've gotten the information you needed by now! :) But for anyone else who's using this as research like I am, we were soooo happy with Dr. Mehendale. We used him for my son's swollen neck. It turned out to be mycobacterium that needed to be removed with surgery. He's great! The surgery was very tricky because the masses were right on a major nerve that controls facial movement, so if a wrong move was made, he could end up permanently facially paralyzed. Super scary, but he did great and my son's doing fine now.

Also, if you Google Dr. Mehendale, you'll see so many glowing responses from other parents, too.

I have a profound hearing loss and have seen many of the top dr. in DFW My recomendation is Dr. Robert Peters at Medical City in Dallas. He performed my choclear implant operation last Febuary and the results are so positive i will be having my other ear operated on this fall. I have also met with parents who's children have had everything from chronic ear infections, tubes, birth defects, meningities ect. resulting in inner ear problems all of whom have had nothing but positive remarks for Dr. Peters.

Hi,
I believe Dr Mehendale is married to my pediatrician, Dr Kimberly Mehendale of Willow Bend Pediatrics. I've known her for years and "feel like" I know her husband. Although, I was under the impression that he was an adult ENT, not a pediatric ENT. Our pediatric ENT is at Presby Plano some days and Childrens Dallas other days. He is excellent. Many neighbors have used him for tubes as well. His name is Dr Evan Bates of SW ENT, and there are a couple other docs with him in the group I believe. Hope this helps!

Hi:
My son sees Dr. John McClay. He is the doctor at Children but he has an office at Presby in Plano. I like him because he is ver detail and he does not rush us into making the decision of having Adenoidectomy (removal of his Adenoid).
We are having it done in August. He is going out of town for couple weeks to be with his kids but he is very easy to get in. If you are interested to talk to me more you can email me at ____@____.com

Good luck,

V.

I don't have the number in front of me, but I'd recommend Dr. Roger Skiles. I believe he handles pediatric cases. He is smart, a Christian and has been ranked the top ENT doctor in Dallas and Texas for many years. Dr. Roger Skiles is based in Frisco, but has hospital priveleges in Frisco, Plano & Dallas. Hope this helps. He should be easy to look up.
