Enfamil Nutrimigen

My son is currently taking Enfamil Nurtimigen which is the most expensive formula on the market. He has acid reflux and gas and this is the best formula for him. Does anyone know of a generic brand or another formula that is close to this one. I have tried Enfamil GentleEase and that seems to bother him. Any suggestions would be so helpful.

What can I do next?

We tried the Enfamil products as well because our son had terrible problems with gas. After talking to others who had the same problem, we switched to Carnation Good Start and it really worked much better. I guess there are fewer proteins for the baby to digest so it doesn't irritate their system as much. An added bonus is that it doesn't smell as bad as the Enfamil either!

UGH! Nutrimigen! THANKFULLY my kids haven't needed that stuff in years. You could finance your children's college education with the price Enfamil charges, and I think you could probably hang wall paper with that stuff as well. UGH!

There is hope for your however. See if your insurance will help cover the cost. Have your doctor write a letter of medical necessity. It's worth a try.

There is no substitute for this formula. My daughter was on this formula and it was the only formula she could eat. She had an intollerance to breast milk so we had no choice but to bottle feed her. I have two cases if you want them let me know. Often times insurance will cover this formula since it is medically necessary. My insurance company covered it for my daughter. If someone is on medical it also covers the formuls. Good luck

I don't know what your situation is, but depending on your income WIC may cover it with a Dr note. That is what we do for the same formula.

My doctor gave me that for my oldest daughter but there is no way we could afford that stuff. We used Carnation Good Start and it was perfect.
