Excema in Ears

So, ever since my daughter was born 5 years ago, I've had horribly itchy ears. Sometimes so bad that they bleed and scab. I've been to an ENT and didn't get any answers. I finally found a great dr. that told me that I have excema only in my ears and that it's not uncommon. So, since then I have been on singulair (about a year now), and I also put aquafor on it everyday. I am still having no luck with the itching and dryness. My dr. told me to also take a zyrtec, but I really don't want to do that. If there is a way to fix this naturally, I would do it. I hate taking meds. So, has anyone else had this before? and what did you do to fix it? I was thinking about going and having allergy testing done. Could it be my cat? or something I eat? Thanks for any advice!

What can I do next?

try Elidel, it's a lotion it did wonders for my son's eczema. Also, could you be having psoriasis? Just something to think about.

I see many women have had this issue after giving birth. I had it on my neck and my son also had it. Key word "had". I was told all those things but decide to go the Natural route and do my own research. I learned that it comes from the inside out. So topical things may bring relief but I didn't want to deal with it any more and give us some relief. I had heard that others were getting results by taking the right Nutrition so because I was already doing that I just did that and it all cleared up. So just do your research. If you would like to know what I do just let me know.

OMG I too have it in my ears!!! and it came like 2 weeks after having my son 2.5 years ago!!! I know this is going to sound nuts...because it is the opposite of what we are told to do with excmma...but I clean my ears 4-6 times a day with peroxide when its bad in like 2-3 days it is close to gone. This winter I have also developed it behind my knees....and the peroxide does not work there!!! But I know it is the complete opposite of what we are told to hydrate it to the hills...a mom told me at the part one time to just try it and she was right I had nothing to lose by the second application my ears were no longer on fire....its odd!

I just use a clean q-tip and dip it in peroxide and swab the inside of my ear...then get a new one for the next ear....

give it a shot!

I too have excema in my ears. Try vitamin E oil. You can get it in the jar or get the tablets and poke them with a needle. Vitamin E is a great way to naturally heal your skin. Also, coconut oil works well. I also use aquaflor and sometimes apply it up to 5 times a day. I make sure to scrub my ears good in the shower every night and then put the oil on well before bedtime (it takes a while to soak in and can get on your pillow).

I have the same problem. If you are close to a wholefood market you can take some Homeopatic remedies. I take APIS. this will help. Also Kali Mur.

There is also a ear wax drops that is very good. You want to keep your ears clean.

Excema is from stress. In my case it is a family diesease. You can control it by removing the sugar from your diet.

I know this may sound funny but I also use a baby excema cream that you can get at the pharmacy. All natural.

Good luck, I have had this for years.

Okay, I am so right with you!! I was told by my doctor that some people just have it like they would any other allergy. Claritin and Zyrtec help TONS!
I used to get an itchy nose around dust and pets, but now I just get itchy ears. WEIRD. And it all began for me while I was pregnant. Be careful. The more you itch, the more likely you are to break the skin in there, and its so sensitive that you are more prone to infections. I have had 2 in the last year. The pain was so bad I swore I would go through child birth all over again!! Anyway, whats the singulair for, do you have asthma? If its for the itchy ears alone and its not helping switch to something that works! Anyway, hope it gets better for you!

Try switching to an all natural Shampoo. Arbonne has products that help with eczema. Contact me in a private message for my contact info and I can send you before and after pictures of a baby that had it all over and with in a very short time it was cleared up.
