My eyes were blue, up until I was about 7. One morning, I was brushing my teeth, and my mom came into the bathroom. She looked at my reflection in the mirror and was shocked that my eyes were GREEN overnight! Now, my eyes go back and forth depending on what I wear.

My kids are 6, 4 and 2 and were all born with blue eyes....we now have a light golden brown eyed boy (just like daddy, the color of honey) and 2 kids with my weird eyes... small circle of brown around the center w/green around the edges.

My husband and I still don't agree on our 2-year-old's eye color, and it could still be changing. My almost 4-year-old had dark brown eyes within a month or two, but my younger one's kept changing. My husband thinks they're gray, I think they're gray/green/blue. Who knows? :)

Had one child with crystal blue eyes until she was 4 and then they turned hazel. Strange.

My son had blue eyes for about hte first 8 months, then they turned green until about 14 months...I was hoping that would stay. Shortly after that they turned light brown and they are that way now. Sometimes in certain lights I can still see some green, but they are brown, just not as dark as mine. My eyes and my mothers are very dark brown. My father's are green and my husband's are green and gold.

My brown eyed kids had the dark brown eyes from the get go. My middle has dark blue eyes. It was the color that typically changes to brown (pediatrician even betted on it), but at age 3, they're still the same dark blue.

My son's eyes turned green around 12 months old. We suspect it will be his permanent color because my husband and I both have green eyes, but I guess it could change.

i am still not sure about mine and they are 5 and 3...hazel eyes seem to be ever changing. I hear that usually if they are hazel you know by 6 months.

They didn't stop changing until maybe two-ish? Both were born with blue. One turned a gorgeous hazel and the other a beautiful sky blue.

Both our kids were born with blue. They are 12 and 9 and both are still blue. Although, when my son wears a certain shade of green, I sometimes see green flecks. My eyes are blue (2 genes for blue, as mom had blue and dad had brown: from a blue and brown eyed parentage) like both my siblings. My husband's eyes are green. His mom's are brown and I'm not sure about his dad's.

I actually was kinda hoping that our son would have green like his Dad... but, he's 12 and I doubt they're going to change. lol. Beautiful blue, though :)

Oldest 2 had brown from the get-go.

The youngest had blue eyes, which went grey then blue then grey then hazel ... the seem to be a hazely-grey-blue but I don't think they've completely settled. He's 7.

So, dark colors tend to settle quickly. Lighter colors, maybe not so much.

Since my eldest had two blue eyed parents (recessive gene) she was pretty much highly likely to remain blue eyed, which she still is at age 14. The second two have a green/hazel eyed dad and both were blue until maybe 9 months or so when started looking more olive colored. The second daughter's eyes turned dark brown by age one or 18 months. They were pretty dark brown for a long time but in the past few years (she's 9 now) have lightened up quite a bit and sometimes now look more like "hazel". Daughter #3 is 18 months and her eyes started turning green-ish brown-ish about 9 months and still look different all the time, but probably will never be blue again! I'm hoping for green... but with hazel in the mix everything is much more unpredictable!

You baby was most likely born with navy blue or dark brown eyes. Over the next 6 months her eye color will gradually change. Don't count on it being the permanent eye color though. Sometimes the eye color will change again in their teens. Mine did. I had soft brown eyes until about 14. They are now an army green color. My brother had blue eyes until about 16 and he now has green eyes.

By the way, hair color can change too. My oldest was born with almost black hair. It all fell out an came in blond. His hair now at 10 is a dark blond.

Our pediatrician told us that whatever it is at their first birthday is what it will be. Both mine had it by 6 months though I think.
