I need some fun, creative ways to announce my first pregnancy. I need some ideas for my parents, in laws, and our brothers & sisters. Also, my mom's whole side of the family will be going on a family vacation around the time we will be ready to announce it to them, so I thought it would be fun to do it there.
Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks in advance :)
I wrapped a pair of babysocks for each of the grandparents. Told them it was just a little something from us.
Well I had a friend who didn't tell some people until she was starting to show a little. She bought a shirt that said "I think I might be pregnant" and wore it around. you could also buy your parents a picture frame that says Grandma and Grandpa on it and put the ultra sound picture in it or just leave it blank inside and say something like "you can put a picture in it in 6 more months" or whatever. You could also just wait until everyone is together on your vacation and just say casually something like "Man i'm so hungry it's hard eating for two" or ask your Mom for something and call her Grandma. Like "could you pass the salt Grandma."
I had a cute picture frame and happend to have a baby footprint rubber stamp. I stamped the baby footprints into the middle of a piece of colored paper. Then I wrote "We will be expanding our house by 2 feet effective ( due date)." It was a huge hit with the grandparents to be!

Create a website. On the website post a sonogram picture, name of proud parents to be, expected due date, gender, possible names etc. Then talk to all of your family about this really great website that they have to check out and give them the website.
For the whole family, maybe a tshirt that says eating for two, baby bump, or something along the lines to let them know you are pregnant. Having flowers sent with a card also signed by baby to be.

a few ideas: 1. a sweet picture frame with the sonogram
2. inexpensive but cute photo albums with "nana and pop pop" or whatever the sweet one will call your mom and dad, and some for your siblings with aunt ____ and uncle ___ etc. with the sonogram in the front. you can take your sonogram to walmart/cvs and get copies. 3. check out willow tree figurines - there are some awesome ones including a grandma and grandpa. you can give them those with a card. 4. steer the conversation towards whose house christmas will be at this year and ask if they think it would be okay to do your house. they say a tentative sure, and say "we want the baby's first christmas to be at home!"

Prepare a meal with baby back ribs, baby corn, baby peas, and a desert made with baby ruth candy bars.
Since your family will be going on a family reunion around the time, if there is an RSVP card, just put 2 1/2 will attend, or pack a bag with pregnancy snacks that is the baby's luggage.
