Funny Mom Books

I used to HATE Jenny McCarthy, but her first 2 books are hysterical! You've gotta like some crude humor though.

How about "true mom confessions: Real Moms get real" by Romi Lassally
It's funny because you can totally relate.

This has been mentioned, but thought I would give you the author information also. It is the funniest Mommy book I've ever read. AND it made me feel better about being a Mom.

"She Who Laughs, Lasts" is a great compliation of short, easy to read, very funny stories by several women.

Jay Mohr just came out with a funny book called- "Why our parents drank: Tales of parenthood from a stand-up Dad." It's awesome! I thought it would be all comedy, but there are some really touching parts as well.

Anything by Vicki Iovine. I like The Girlfriend's Guide to Getting Your Groove Back. So funny.

Also, I forget who wrote it, but The Three-Martini Playdate is great!

How about a funny series of books that contains some moms? I love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. Will make you cry laughing! The best side character is her Grandma Mazur and Stephanie's mom is a classic long-suffering straight woman. Happy reading!

I've been meaning to reread Lipschtick (I read it before I had kids with a girlfriend... it was HILARIOUS until it got to the marriage and kids part, but the few snippets I remember crack me up now... things like how we used to have friends because they were intelligent, funny, charming people... after kids the priority in friends become "do they parent enough like I do that I can even stand to be in the same room with them?") http://www.amazon.com/Lipshtick-Gwen-Macsai/dp/B000H2MYLY...

I also flipped through a babyshower gift book I'd like to read. The title was "Sippy cups are not for chardonnay, and other things I've learned". Haven't actually read that one, however.

paul riser has a couple of books out one was couple hood the other was babyhood. really funny

I agree with the mom who suggested Paul Riser's Babyhood. Its funny. Bill Cosby has a book called Fatherhood that is also good. Vicki Iovine wrote the Girlfriends Guide books and they are pretty funny. Also, I Was A Really Good Mom before I Had Kids, and Life is a Bowl of Cherries by Erma Bombeck.

Jenny McCarthy's books are hysterical - LOVE them! Also, Vicki Iovine has written some great ones, too.

Jenny Mccarthy's books are quit funny but you have to be into her humor. I love them so much :)

Life is a Bowl of Cherries by Erma Bombeck.
It doesn't matter how many years I go in between reading it, it makes me laugh out loud every single time. My kids think it's funny too.
She's a lot like me so maybe that's why I find it funny.

It's pretty timeless.
You won't be sorry for reading it!
