Gift Idea for Friends

Some friends of ours had moved out of state a few years ago. I do not know all of the details, but while they were there their 3 kids were taken away. They fought hard to get them back over the last couple years or so. Thankfully, they FINALLY got them back yesterday!!! We are so happy for them :)

I'm not sure when, but they are supposed to move back to our area. Some other friends & we are going to help them however we can in getting them moved back here.

I was just thinking that I would like to get them a sort of "welcome home" and "congrats" gift. My first thought is either a multi-photo frame, or maybe even a digital photo frame so that they can put a lot of family photos in it.

Do you think that is a good gift idea, or do you have any other suggestions to consider?

In case it matters, their kids are about 5, 7 (both boys), and a girl about 12.

Thanks :)

What can I do next?

What about going to Sam's Club or Cosco and getting them some "starter" groceries of essentials like, paper plates, towels, toilet paper, canned foods, juice, etc or a gift card for them to do this ... since they are moving back and getting kids again food is a concern in my mind ... I am not sure what you want/can spend but that is something I would try to do if possible.

Since they haven't had the kids for a couple of years they probably don't have any recent pictures to put in a digital or any other frame.

If money is tight for them, I suggest a gift card to a grocery/department store so that they can buy necessities or something special. When my grandson stopped daycare my daughter thought she'd need the money and so gave her a gift card to Fred Meyer along with a plant. The woman bought ear rings she'd been wanting for some time. It was the best gift we could've given her.

Another idea is to give them a membership to a zoo, children's museum or some other place that they can have fun with their kids.

What about gift cards to clothing stores for the kids? Or even gift cards to Target or Walmart? This way they can get what the kids need since they have been separated for so long.
