Hey moms, So I am turning the big 3-0 next month...my goal for my thirties is to be healthy skinner and happier with myself. I know how to loose weight...I know what needs to be done...my problem is will power ...stress eating...bored eating! In my early 20's I could stick to anything cut anything from my diet and it was so easy...but NOW...Im a STAHM....with a almost 3 year old...don't have any real good friends that I hang out with (we moved to fl about 4 years ago...never really connected with anyone)....work at home on the computer...I just want to EAT EVERYTHING!!!! Anyway...I am looking for a good...EASY....7 day cleansing diet to just start from scratch...cleanse my body..and start my new and improved healthy living!!! I plan to try for my 2nd and last baby in December'ish (there is a story behind that time....won't bore you with details) I want to be at a good weight and just be healthy when I do conceive you know. I was not with my 3 year old I ate everything and sat on my butt all day....gained over 60lbs and still have yet to loose it all. SO with all that said....I would like any cleansing Ideas...help me get healthy and in the right mindset!!!

Thanks moms!

Sarah,
Be very careful about cleansing supplements.
You can do a cleanse by using a good protein supplement at breakfast lunch and dinner and combined with 8 servings of raw fruits and vegetables for a week. Drink lots of water. You will probably get a bad headache on day 2 or 3 from caffiene and sugar withdrawal.
If you would like info on good, safe supplements, let me know.
Good luck!

First thing when you get up in the am, take a sip of apple cider vinegar and water. Gets you going on "cleansing or eliminating" toxins, then get your stomach in the appetite for real food. Begin by eating fresh fruits, oatmeal for energy or any other grain type meal, for lunch eat your salad, and for dinner eat vegetables, and chicken breast (less fattening and healthy). Try for a week on that and see how your appetite adjusts. Then focus on eating healthy for a month and see how that works for you. Avoid processed foods.

I really like the Raw Food Detox Diet book by Natalia Rose. Been loosely following it for about a month now and have been absolutely fantastic. Basically, depending on your health status, their are 5 stages of the diet that allow you to ease into healthy living and eating and so that your system doesn't go into shock by detoxifying too fast.

In my opinion there is WAY too much focus on "diets." Cutting things and depriving yourself of a food group is not good because we need all of them in different amounts for our over all health. I wouldn't focus on what's right or wrong, but what's good. What's good for your body.
We know that packaged processed foods full of chemical additives are not good for us. If you change your "mindset" as you said to eating REAL food then the "diet" part won't matter.
Just remember that the farther a food is away from it's natural source, the LEAST nutrition we'll get from it. So think of an apple. A fresh, real apple is good full of vitamins, minerals, fiber etc. Apple-sauce (homemade) is OK but apple juice really is the least nutritious. Once you start eating healthier, your body will start craving healthier foods making a life long transition easier.
What I try to teach is generally if it is made by nature it's good. If it's a man-made food product we should think about making another choice.
Of course I have a 19 year old who reminds me that Hemlock is made by nature and he's pretty sure a cheeto tree just hasn't been discovered yet!

Trust me I know how hard it is but you can do it! You and your family will be so much better in the long run!

Good Luck!
