Not a terribly interesting request, but I can't figure out how to find a good pediatrician. We live in Carlsbad and I am willing to drive anywhere in North County. Want traditional medicine but thoughtful - not over-prescribing antibiotics, etc. Secondly, if anyone knows of a good OBGYN - I've had 2 c-sections for different reasons, and would like to find a doctor open to natural birth if we have a third (very hard to find b/c of their insurance issues). Anyway, thanks for any thoughts.
El Camino Pediatrics is excellent! I own a preschool in Encinitas and we have several children who see many of the doctors there. All the parents have raved about their children's care. Also, Dr. Biter is incredible and was referred to me by a doctor that I love and trust! Good luck! J.
My girls are with Dr Calhoun in Oceanside but have not seen her yet. They appts coming up. As for OB/GYN, I just started with mine and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE him! His name is Dr. Michael Biter and he is in Encinitas off the Leucadia exit. We are in Oceanside so it's a little bit of a drive (not too bad) but it is so worth it. I would be willing to bet that he will give natural birth a shot. I am actual a surrogate mother preggo with triplets and he is working so hard for us, even putting together a team of specialists. I live in San Marcos, and my first son was born with a heart problem and the Children's Primary Medical Group aka North County Pediatrics were great. Dr. Page or Dr. Martinez in that group are wonderful, and the are affiliated with Children's Hospital. They relocated recently off Citricado Pkwy in Escondido. Look them up, they are soooooo wonderful, and they really take their time and have wonderful bedside manners. Good luck

I go to El Camino Pediatric in Encinitas. They have great personal. Dr. Woods is wonderful you should try it out.

We switched pediatricians three times the first year and love Dr. Gina Rosnefeld, she works both out of San Marcos (across from SM High School) and Escondido. We have always been able to see her at one or the other.
I also love my OBGYN-in Encinitas. Vista Way OBGYN - Dr. P. Murillo is the only one I will see. Dr. Biter used to be in there but it sounds like he may or not still be there.
