Go to Betty Crocker or any web site that has a dot com. I also get them from the inserts in the Sunday paper. If you like a product call them up and let thme know, they will send you coupons, too.

I get mine from the coupon booklets in the Sunday paper. Sometimes there'll be some in magazines, but lots of times you can find then in the grocery stores.

Hi A.,
I agree with the other ladies Target is too expensive. I shop at HEB and also use coupons. My husband made a website called gogoway.com (you don't have to register) go to it and you can print out coupons. The website allows you to make your grocery list and print out your coupons too. If you have more questions on the website you can email me through mamasource.

Thank you,
Elisa M.

You have lots of great responses. Boxtopsforeducation.com has lots of coupons. Check your store prices before deciding whos cheaper. I've found Target here to be cheaper than Kroger. And kroger will no longer take web printed coupons. I rely on the news paper mostly anymore. I've never liked HEB. Awful meat quality and too many people. And I have a LOT of personal and political issues with Walmart, so don't like ot shop there. Also watch the adds. If it's on sale buy more than one. I usually buy 3 if it's something we use a lot of. ie spaghetti sauce.

I usually go to couponmom.com. This way, I'm not buying a newspaper just for the coupons, and I can print out only what I want to use. Make sure that the coupon says "manufacture coupon" on it. If it doesn't, it may be rejected by the cashiers/stores. It must scan. However, as long as they are printed from a legitimate source online (and aren't copied after being printed), they should have no problem scanning.

Okay A., everything and anything you ever wanted to know about coupons can be found at hotcouponworld.com. Over the summer, I went to this coupon class that this one mom had cause I was clueless about how and when to use the coupons. Well, she was amazing. She literally spends $800 a YEAR on groceries and cleaning supplies. All from using coupons and the free bucks earned at stores. Anyhow, check out that website cause it will give you all the deals and what coupons to use at virtually any store you can think of. It will definitely change your life.

Hi A.,

I have been clipping and using coupons since I was 10 years old, and I am now 41. When I went grocery shopping with my mom a long time ago, she let me do all the coupon shopping since my mom didn't want to bother with it. When it comes to saving money and looking for bargains, I am there...this is one reason why I teach financial ministry to folks to be better money managers across the board.

The best source of manufacturer's coupons is the good ole' Sunday newspaper. Some weeks will be heavier with coupons than others. The weeks that usually don't carry coupons are holiday weekends. Ask family and friends who don't use the Sunday coupons but get the Sunday newspaper, to save the coupon inserts for you. On top of this, you can get coupons from other sources that have been mentioned in all the different responses you received. I shop for coupon bargains on Ebay as well but you must do a cost analysis to ensure that in the end, you will actually be saving money.

In the Austin area, HEB overall offers the best prices on groceries. When it comes to coupon shopping, you must be a savvy shopper. If you have a coupon for an item that you usually buy, then go ahead and use it. The biggest rule is: Don't buy an item just because you have a coupon and you know you will never use it...unless you can get it for real cheap (a few pennies) or for free! I love free things and if I do get items for free or really cheap, and I know my family won't use it, I donate it to the food bank in my community.

The other thing to NOT do is to run from store to store trying to save a few dollars since you will be spending the money saved in gasoline. Even though the price of gas has been falling, this doesn't mean much (I watch the price of oil everyday since my husband and I own a trucking company). Unfortunately, different stores will have a few bargains that are attractive but it is still not worth it to travel from store to store. I really wish one grocery store would just offer all the same bargains and match other grocery store offerings.

My local small grocery store doubles coupons up to and including $1.00 so I bargain hunt when I go there. Most of their prices are higher than HEB since they are on a smaller scale, but if an item is on sale and I can save $2.00 off, I normally go after that. I buy my milk there all the time since I get a really great bargain on my husband's favorite milk.

Coupon shopping is an art and you do a lot of cost analysis along the way which sometimes takes more time. This is one reason my husband does not grocery shop with me since I take too long but that's ok with me since I don't like to be rushed. I love crunching numbers and getting all the bargains that I can, while at the same time saving lots of money along the way.

Plus, if I see someone behind or in front of me buying a product that I have a coupon for and I know I won't be using it at that moment, I'll give that person the coupon to save a little bit of money (they are especially excited when I tell them that the coupon will be doubled!). My ears and eyes are always open to what is happening around me.

Hope this info helps!
K.

I'm a huge coupon clipper! The Sunday paper and weekly advertisement mailings have lots of coupons. There are also several sites online you can print coupons from - just Google grocery coupons.

I use mygrocerydeals.com (free) also to shop the deals at different grocery stores, including CVS and Walgreens. A lot of times, though, Wal-Mart still has the best prices. Not always, however. I usually end up going to Kroger and Wal-Mart when I can get the better deal at Kroger (otherwise they are very high priced). I don't think Target is on there but then again I find Target more expensive, anyway, so don't usually go there. **Sidenote - I "saved" $40 the other day by going to 2 stores and only buying the specials at Kroger. Everything else I got a Wal-Mart and used about $15 worth of coupons! My personal best!

Good luck and happy bargain shopping... it's fun! :)

I agree with some of the other mommas. While I love shopping at Target the other grocery stores are cheaper. Wal-mart has the best prices here. For our caned goods and some other staples we shop at Save-A-lot and you really do save a lot. Good luck.

Best bet is going to be the Sunday paper or a lot of product manufacturers put them online sometimes as well.

If you get the coupons out of the paper there is also a website that you can join relatively cheaply called www.thegrocerygame.com.

Good luck!

www.couponmom.com
She has a free e-book that tells you how to save money at the grocery store. She also has a bunch of coupons you can click on and print off.

We have 2 ads that come to our house on Weds. each week. I browse through those looking for the "deals" and plan my next week's menu based on that. I do use coupons, but I don't buy something just because I have a coupon for it! Sometimes you still spend more than you would if you just use the store brand.

FYI - Walmart matches any ad price from any store and any other store's coupons in addition to regular coupons. So oftentimes, to save multiple trips to multiple stores, I'll just bring the ads with me and get the exact same item(s) for the same deal. Plus, on other stuff, they are usually a bit lower than the other stores. You can't do that with the store brand though, so if it's a Target brand 2 for 1, Walmart won't let you do their store brand for the same price. But for name brand stuff, they absolutely do.

Also, a neat trick I learned is to google for coupons. For example, we had a sale here where cake mixes were $0.79/box advertised in the weekly ad. I googled and went to the Duncan Hines website and got a $0.55 off coupon! Yep, I got those puppies for $0.24/box!

Good luck and happy hunting!

I shop at Kroger because the double and triple coupons. Also at Wal-mart because they match competitor ads.

Also, at CVS for other items. They have the "Extra Bucks" from purchasing things that make them FREE!

I purchase the Sunday paper and then compare on Couponmom.com. It doesn't cost anything like Grocery Game does.

Best of luck.

try couponmom.com, also find your local supermarket that takes double and even triple coupons, ask what days they take them, shop the ads, and buy what is on sale that week. if it is a really good sale, buy several packages and seperate things like meat and freeze it for later. Also chesse freezes well. Just a few ideas that help me to keep the grocery bill in check!
Good Luck!

Target is so expensive. I shop at Krogers if I have coupons for that week and HEB if I don't have any coupons. You should also try www.thegrocerygame.com. It helps you save a ton of money but it works on a stockpile system where you get the things that are free or really really cheap if you need them or not and then just store them.

Thank you for the question. In my opinion the good old-fashioned Sunday newspaper is the best place. All of the online coupon dealers that I have looked at, either have trackers in them that will bog down your computer, are usually selling something, or want you to jump through a bunch of hoops in order to get to their mediocre coupons. I will be interested to read your responses.

I used to shop at Target and just tried switching to HEB recently. I LOVE it there! My grocery bill has dropped dramatically since I switched to HEB. The only thing I buy at Target now is my meat because I like their Sutton and Dodge brand for beef and Hormel for pork and I haven't been thrilled with the meats from HEB. The seafood selection there is great though and so is everything else. We used to get the Sunday paper just to get the coupons, but I found that I was buying things I didn't really need just because I had a coupon for it (it's a sickness...I'm getting help. Haha). I have found that if I make a menu for the week and shop with a list for that menu, I don't buy lots of extras and my grocery bill is lower. I might try the previous poster's suggestion though and google for coupons for things I know I need. What a great idea!

Best of luck. I know we're all trying to save money where we can right now.
