I just moved to N.Dallas and need a hair stylist asap. I have alot of wavy/curly hair and need a professional who just wont take thinning shears to it. I am looking for someone around $30-$40 if thats possible. I can go to Lewisville, Flower Mound, Highland, Corinth, Denton areas.

What can I do next?

I go to L'Image in Plano loacted at Park/Preston area.

However, I have not heard of a cut in that price range in years, even at the cheapee strip mall places.

Just remember...you get what you pay for and a GOOD stylist will listen to you and not do what he/she wants to do instead.

Hello M.
I am actually a hairstylist that works with curly hair, I did lots of practice on my boyfriend and his sister when I was in cosmetology school. I've been in the business for 12 years now and I'm looking for new clients myself:-) I actually am on this site at Hair Creations by C.. You can read my reviews on here. I am doing some specials right now on my wesite to www.HairbyCollette.com. I am in the Plano area right now but I am in the process of transitioning to a new place in January which will be closer to 121 and Preston. I am a booth renter so we have a more private setting. I would love to have the honor of meeting with you to discuss your hair so feel free to give me a call:-)

The Styling Hutch does specialize in naturally curly hair. However, if you are NOT wanting "thinning" done, be careful! They have a Ouidad method called "Carve/Slice" which equals thinning! First, the stylist at Styling Hutch did a trim on my hair, then she did the carve/slice method, which was SUPPOSED to help my hair fall into it's shape better. Because she didn't use the term "thinning", I was clueless. Once I got home, washed my hair the next day and discovered my hair was still full at the roots but halfway down the hair shaft, it was all thinned out! I let my hair grow out for a year, then ended up getting all of the "sliced" hair (5-7 inches) cut off by my regular stylist at another salon. If I had stopped at the trim with Styling Hutch, perhaps I would've had a better outcome.

I have curly hair and my hairstylist is Jennifer Strobel, she is awesome. I have been using her for 8 years and my hair has never looked better. She is currently working with Beauty Brands ###-###-#### at Park & the Tollway, next to the Willowbend Mall. You will not be disappointed.

I love Splurge in Highland Village. I wrote about a makeover they did on me awhile back here: http://www.burbmom.net/a-burb-mom-make-over/
You can't really tell by the pictures, but my hair is extremely thick and naturally curly (I usually wear it straight) and Jenna is the best. They may be a little pricier than you are looking for - but TOTALLY worth it. Here is a coupon for your first visit: http://www.burbmom.net/coupons/

Good luck!
