Why not spend $13 and go to Costco and get 36 long stemmed roses and buy a big roll of organza ribbon and tie the ribbon to the rose and let that beautiful, single, elegant statement be the favor. YOu can't get more simple or moe simply elegant than that.

We went to the Wal-Mart bakery and bought cinnamon rolls. We wrapped them n pink saran wrap and tied on a note that said "thanks from our little bun in the oven". We found the bakery cinnamonrolls were cheaper and easier then the ones in the tube.

My sister-in-law gave out Noah's Ark cookies cutters. She tied a piece of blue/pink bow around it and gave that out.

Good luck!

For a cousin, at her shower we filled mini plastic baby bottles with Hershey Kisses and Hugs, and attached a note with a blue ribbon that said "Hugs and Kisses" Love, Dylan (the baby to be)

Fun. I love baby showers. I always find that stationary makes a GREAT favor. (if the baby is a girl go with pink or boy go with blue.) You can find great deals on stationary at Tuesday Morning or buy large packs at Target etc. and break them up into smaller packs and tie a ribbon around them.

Small shaped soaps are fun and inexpensive. I have seen them at places like World Market Bath and Body Works have some small soaps, lotions, flavored lip balms, shampoo etc. that you could use. You could put them in a cellophane bag and tie a ribbon.

You could buy small candles and decorate them with jewels. I am sure you could find all the supplies at Hobby Lobby.

By the way, we always have a "Craving Station" at the baby showers we host. Find out what mommy-to-be has been craving and serve it as one of your appetizers. We make a cute sign that says "J.'s Craving Station." One of my friends craved waffles and chocolate so I served those mini frozen waffles with a bowl of syrup in the center and placed mini candy bars all over the plate too. Its a great way to personalize the party.

Have fun!

J.,

I assume that this is a baby shower? If not, I'm sorry, my suggestion is only for a baby shower. I have done this idea for a couple of showers, and it has been a big hit. I have gotten about 30 baby bottles, and nipples, not the big kind in the store, but the kind used in the hospital. I work at a hospital, so they are easily accessible to me, but if you were to go to a hospital nursery and ask for some for a shower favor, I'm sure they would be glad to let you have some, because usually these are given to the hospital for free, from companies like Ross and Similac. You could even offer to pay something for them, and they probably wouldn't take your money. Anyways if you're interested, here is the idea. I fill the little 2oz baby bottles with Hershey's brand Hugs, and Kisses chocolate candy. Then on the outside of the bottle, I tie a blue or a pink string with a little hand made card that says: Hugs and Kisses from Baby ???, if you know the baby's name, put it in. If not, you could put the last name. Hope this helps, and hope your favor is for a baby shower.

Good Luck, S. S.
