Hi, girls. I'm so overwhelmed with all of the diaper bag choices they have now. Anyone know of a good one that's practical yet fashionable? Also, would you suggest ones that have coolers for bottles? Thanks a bunch!

What can I do next?

Hi Jaymi. Congrats. I have a 14 month old son and I am now on my 3rd diaper bag. I have found that the Vera Bradley diaper bag is the best. I love that it can be machine washed which is a big plus because they do tend to get dirty both inside and out. It's roomy enough for all my stuff, but not too large. It does not have the cooler in it, but my other ones did and I found that they weren't big enough. Instead I had a separate smaller cooler bag that I carried in my first diaper bags. I would suggest hanging it from your stroller to make sure it fits okay and that it's not in the way. I have a lot of her purses and they seem to last. Good luck. It's definitely the best one I've had. I wish I had bought it first.

I hear you! When I was pregnant I had the hardest time figuring out which diaper bag to get. My My son is now 9 months and I have 2 totally unused diaper bags in my closet. I tried them for a couple weeks and they didn't work for me. I find most of the diaper bags on the market either too ugly, too stiff (sometimes you need to shove under stroller), or too expensive. I ended up using a regular everyday bag from target that is cloth and happens to have a lot of pockets on the outside. It was only $20 so I knew I wouldn't feel bad if it got messy and I had to toss it, but even though it's cloth it's been fine. A lot of the registries etc suggest something vinyl/wipeable, while it's nice if you find one, it's not really that necessary. I think the most important thing is for it to be comfortable as youll be carrying it around ALL the time, everywhere. As for the bottle cooler, The only time you'd really need is if you will be carrying bottles of breastmilk, most babies like formula bottles room temp or warm anyway. If you want one and the diaper bag doesn't come with it they sell separately. Most of the girls and myself hve bags maybe 8x15x12ish you want it to me roomy to hold a lot but not huge or it can be cumbersome to hold. Hope that helps! Congratulations!

Hey Jaymi, Congratulations on your pregnancy. I pray you have a healthy pregnancy! I have 5 children and i always bought a diaper bag that matched the theme of my children rooms. I had 3 girls first, but when i was having my first son i really was over the diaper bag. They have diaper bags now that look like back packs and they have the sides where you can put bottles and ice packs inside the zipper on the side to keep bottles cool.I love it! I now have another son and received a diaper bag for him, but i don't even use it to take out. i just throw both boys diapers in the backpack and a set of clothes and they have pouches and zippers inside the bag and front to put other things like cream or powder if you need it. I wish i they had them when my girls were little because they are so much durable and they come in all colors. I just have a black one and have had it now for 3 years since my oldest son is 3 years old and i bought it around 20 weeks pregnant. Good Luck and i hope this helps

i suggest getting two. i big one, for long visits away from your house (more than 2 hours). and then a small one for running errands and stuff. i got a really nice big one from baby's r us, that i loved. but i quickly realized it was way more work and hassle than i needed for running errands and stuff. so i just got a cheapo little black one that is about the size of a toddlers lunch box and that is what i use daily. if i'm going over to my moms house for the afternoon or to the zoo for the day or something where i will need more than a diaper and bottle, than i take my nice big one. hope this helps :)
