Hi ladies I am J. from Eden Prairie! My family just moved here and I have a 3 year old and one due in May. Just wondered if there is anyone out there in the same boat as me.... My husband travels a bit and that leaves me somtimes borred because I stay at home with my 3 year old all day! Normally it is fine because ware we are from we had a ton of friends and family to hang out with, but being new to Minnesota it has been hard to meet people.
A little about me. I will be 30 in May and my husband Chad is 30. We moved hear from Oregon 3 weeks ago and like it but we are very social and it has been a challange to meet people since I don't work. I was considering having a play group/meet other moms if I could get some ladies and there kids together. I'm just not sure if that would be to forward. I am not a scary person I promise! I would just like to entertain and meet some cool potentioal friends.
If there is anyone out there that feels the same way lets try to meet and who knows it could turn out to be really fun! Don't be shy let's get our kid's together, eat or even have a glass of wine. (Not me of course since I am prego) If I can get enough response from people then I can plan a time at my home to have horderves and drinks! Come on! Hope to hear from you soon! :)

Hello! I am in a similar situation as you. I am 24, a stay at home mom, have a 2 year old son, another son due at the end of May, and we just moved up here 2 weeks ago from Memphis, TN. We are staying with my inlaws until we move into our house on March 22. We'll be living in Shakopee, which is not too far from Eden Prairie. We were pretty social back in Tennessee, but I tend to be kind of shy when I first meet people but I warm up quickly. I'd love to get together sometime!
Hi, J.. My name is H. and my husband is Dan. I am 39 and he is 35. We have a 14 month old and I am pregnant, due in September. I grew up in Eden Prairie and I now live in Minneapolis. I work every day but Wednesday when I am able to spend time with my daughter. After September I will be staying home full time to raise our children. As you may feel at times I'm a bit worried about not having anything to do/no one to hang out with/no one for my kids to play with. Although our children are not the closest in age I would be happy to get together. I am not psycho or strange. Just your average Minnesotian.

Welcome to Minnesota!!! We moved here three months ago from Kansas City, so I know what you are going through. I found a great Mom's group that has really helped me get to know some other stay at home Moms. It's called Mothers and More and we have book clubs, topical meetings etc. Let me know if you want any of their info.

Hi J.. My name is S. and I live in Eden Prairie, also. I am married, my husband doesn't travel for work, but works long hours during the spring and summer and always works on Saturdays. We have a 2 1/2 yo dd, 4 1/2 yo dd, and 16 yo ds. I do work during the day, I have a home daycare, but am up for getting together weekends and occasionally weekday evenings.
