Hi C.-

We moved here a year ago from CT so "we've been there". We moved to Keller and LOVE it! I did tons of research before we moved and tried to find a small town with excellent schools that also had a lot for families to do...Keller fits the bill! I know the commute is fine for Bell Helicopter as well. The cost of housing here compaired to PA and CT is soooo cheap too so you should have no problem finding something. Good luck!

Congratulations on moving to one of the best cities I have lived in! In my personal opinion I would suggest living closer to downtown Ft Worth, such as the Ridglea Area. If you live closer to downtown it will cut down on the commute and you would be so much closer to activities in Ft Worth. My husband and I love the Ridglea area, it is safe and beautiful with all of its older homes and developed trees. In my neighborhood there are several SAHM and you see us all out walking with our little ones. Dont get me wrong, I would suggest looking at several different locations before making a decision...

Good luck!

North Fort Worth has a great commuinity called Heritage (it is a Hillwood Development). It is in the Keller School District and is an area full of families with young children. THere are some houses that you can rent. Keller is a great town as is Grapevine, Southlake, and Colleyville. Good Luck

Will you be in the Hurst area with Bell Helicopter? If so you might look in the Colleyville and Grapevine area. We love it here after moving from CT eight year ago. The Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake Mom's League is a great resource as well.

Courteny my husband and I live in Euless right off Hwy 10 Less than 10 min down 10 from Bell Helicopter.... We are looking to sell or rent our house because we are moving as soon as we do something with our house! My husband has accepted a new job and we are moving to the country! We live in an older home but have updated it greatly! We have a huge park down the street and a swing set in the back yard that will stay! :) We also attend First Baptist Euless which is just 3 minutes away and there are tons of great moms and kids programs going on all throughout the week! The Elementary school 4 houses down from our house! So needless to sya there are lots of great families around close! I also have a cousin and her family that live around the corner one of which is 17 and she is an amazing BABYSITTER!

Let me knwo if it is something you may be interested in.... How much you would be able to afford for rent etc.!..... Or if you would be interested in buying......

I live in Hurst, very close to Bell. We love it. Moved here from Garland. Still has a small town feel with all the luxuries of a city. The schools were named to the top 4 in the state. The people are great. I love it and highly recommend the Hurst, Euless, Bedford (commonly referred to as HEB) and the North Richland Hills area. My inlaws live in Keller and it's also great and close to bell. Fell free to email anytime. I have a 10 year old daughter and 1 year old son. ____@____.com

I live in Keller/Fort Worth area and as a matter of fact there is one nice house for lease over by us. It is on the same block as a junior high that is in Keller school district and like one block from elementary school. Really nice area and never any problems. We even left our garage door open all day one day (hubby did not close it when leaving for work) and he has tons of tools out there with tons of other valuables and nothing was gone when we got home. Good luck and let me know if you need any numbers for houses in area for lease or sale.

We LOVE our neighborhood and there are several rentals here. All the houses are 2 years old or less and they are sooo cute! The neighborhood is very active; we have monthly ladies nights and hold a little celebration for each holiday. The pool is really nice and the area right around the neighborhood is undeveloped so it's very quiet!
The neighborhood is called Chapel Hill. It's technically in Fort Worth but it's just north of Saginaw. Here's a link to the builder's website:
www.chapelhilldfw.com
Like I said, there are several rentals available. Good Luck!

My family and I just moved to Benbrook from CA last June. We love it here. It's right next to FW, so everything is close, but not too close. We love our neighborhood and there is a house for rent a couple houses down from us. It's been up for a while (first it was for sell) so they might give you a good deal. If you're interested I can run outside and give you the number.

I live in South Arlington and work in North Arlington. I have lived here for 15 years and really like the town. I grew up in a small town and did not really want to live in a large city. I like the conveniences of a large town (24 hour grocery stores - yay!), but it still feels like a small town to me. My husband works for several property management companies showing their properties for lease. He is paid by the property management companies, so if you would like him to see what is available, please let me know.
