I Need a Good Child Friendly Salon

My almost 3 year old has never loved getting his hair cut but this last time it was horrible. The poor lady did her best but he looked a little like Jim Carey from Dumb and Dumber so I asked his dad to try and trim his side burns some and just make the front look o.k. (I'm wanting to get some Christmas pictures of all of them soon) Well, it's pretty butchered now. I'm wondering if any of you can suggest a good place to take him where we might be able to get the job done. I know there are places where they sit on cool chairs and watch cartoons but I have no idea where or what the names are. Any ideas?

What can I do next?

There is a salon called Banbury kids in Jenks www.banburykidssalon.com that is geared for kids and they have cartoons for the kids to watch while getting their haircut. Their chairs are made like little race cars. It is kind of pricey for a kids cut but it is the only one I know of in this area. Hope that helps.

I'm putting in my vote for William at Kuts for Kids. He has cut my daughter's hair for 5 years now and as soon as I can bring myself to cut my one-year old son's hair, William will get the honors. Sometimes you have to wait a while, but it's well worth it...I've even had him cut my hair too.

Kuts for Kids by William - he rocks with kid cuts, and he's reasonably priced! His shop is in The Tulsa Plaza ... that shopping strip at 81st & Lewis - south of the Walmart.

Kuts 4 Kids by Mr. Will is located at 8122 S. Lewis. It is in the shopping center south of the Super Wal-Mart across from ORU. The phone number is ###-###-####. My son has not had a haircut there, but we met Mr. Will at Wal-Mart one day, picked up a conversation with him while waiting. He was very friendly, definitely a kid-person. If it was closer to our home, we would go there. My four-year-old does very well at the SuperCuts in The Farm Shopping Center at 51st and Sheridan. Since you can walk in without an appointment, we can go when my son is in a good mood. We usually go to the cookie bouquet place next door after the haircut. They sell unfrosted cookies for less than a dollar, so he gets a treat.
