My husband and I need a get away ASAP. has to be domestic (no time to get passports), and needs to be affordable. I don't care about flying, but must be a quick flight (less than 2 hours away). I don't care about shopping, we just want to sit on a beach and not have anything to worry about except whether to order another beer or a margarita. Any ideas? This trip would need to occur in June...

I used to live in FL. There are just about every kind of rental you can think of all along the coasts in FL. One of the prettiest beaches I think is Siesta Key its off the coast of Sarasota. You can fly from DFW to Bradenton/Sarasota on Airtran. Let me know if you have any more questions.

What about Orange Beach, AL or Destin/Fort Walton Beach, FL? I have never been to either place but I have heard of several people going there. You can always check them out online. You could probably get there in two hours by plane.
What about South Padre or Port Aransas? YOu can fly via Southwest and get there in probably less than an hour! I've been to both places - you can rent a condo and save the cost of eating out every night by preparing meals yourself. My husband was looking into rates there in June, and we're on a budget, too.

Water is crystal blue and sand is powder white. I wont be drinking margaritas this summer because I am pregnant. But, I am sure my husband will drink a couple of beers for me.
We love Navarre Beach, Fl. You fly into Pensacola. We stay in private condos which are very nice and right on water. There is no hotel so you do your own drinks but with icemakers and side by side refrig plus everything you need is right in your condo makes it all the more relaxing to me.
