My husband's birthday is coming up, I would like to do something special for him since it is his 35th birthday, but have no idea WHAT! I want to do something and invite all of his friends and we could always have a get together at our house, but that seems boring! We are at our house, all the time! lol
We are into the club scene anymore, but I wanted something a little more exciting than dinner and go home. ANY SUGGESTIONS?
We are in Mckinney, but open to anywhere....

Even though you are not in the club scene anymore (I'm not eiter), Cape Buffalo (off of the tollway) is a great place to hang out. You can rent party rooms and get food and have a fun time. They have a live band there every Friday and Saturday night. I have been there a couple of times for birthday parties and every band that I have seen has been good. They have a website that gives you details. We did my father-in-laws 50th birthday party there and had a blast. They also have pool tables, darts and shuffle board. One of the rooms also has a projection screen if you wanted to show pics of him growing up. They let you decorate and everything. It was really fun for us.

Have you thought about sending him a singing telegram. I belong to a singing group that serenades people primarily for Valentines Day but also for Birthdays and other celebrations. I am not available with my group but here is the contact info of a group that may be able to help...

There will be a small fee involved but you can discuss that with her. Tell her K. sent ya!

Hi K.!
So funny I read your request today! I am planning my husband's 40th! There is an awesome restaurant/bar in old downtown McKinney called Rick's Chophouse. It has a fabulous atmosphere!! Live music in the bar/library and incredible food in the rockin' restaurant! It's a great crowd as well. :) After experiencing Rick's, there are several fun pubs on the square. And to top it off, stay at the Grand Hotel (above Rick's). Wow!! It's sooo awesome!! Beautiful and quaint. The next morning, you can head over to Spoons Cafe for a yummy breakfast.
Hope this helps.

Dear K.,

My husband and I are members of the Tower Club in Dallas which also allows us access to other country clubs in the metroplex including Stonebridge in McKinney. They have beautiful banquet rooms that would be perfect for a party. Amy at the tower club is great about putting together any kind of party you can think of.

When my husband turned 30 we wanted something fun too. We reserved a room at Dave & Busters in Frisco. It was great because we ate and then they removed the top of the table to reveal a pool table. Everyone got to play and if they aren't into pool then they can go downstairs to the big arcade. Dave & busters is pretty much like a Mr. Gatti's but on the adult level. There is ski ball, darts, horse racing and arcade games to play. That would definitely be lots of fun and different.
