They said it was not a normal pregnancy. I go for my second ultra sound in the morning. Im just still sad because I want this baby so bad. I didnt have too much bleeding today so i hope things are still a go. thank you all

So today i had my Ultra sound and i got to see the babies heart beat. That made me so emotional i was so worried, Im glad that so far the baby is alive.

My husbsnd and I got pregnant the first month we tried. I started spotting about 6 weeks along. I was very scared and we went to the emergency room. They did an ultrasound and found out I was 6 weeks pregnant and that i was probably having a miscarige. They said the bleeding would get worse and their was nothing they could do. They said the bleeding should only last for a couple more days and if not to come back in. I was still bleeding a lot a couple of days later so I went back in. They did another ultasound and said I had passed the embryo already and sent me home. It was the hardest thing I have ever been through and wish it upon no one. It is very common I found out but it still doesn't make it any easier. We tried agian and gpt pregnant 3 months later and now have a daughter that is 15 months. I sometimes think that if I hadn't miscarried then i wouldn't have my daughter I would have a totally different child. So sometimes things work out in the end no matter how much it sucks now. Good luck! I hope everything is ok. If you have seen the heartbeat then that sounds like a very good sign.

Hi K.,
I did bleed too in the first trimester. I think I may be 6 weeks along. I was scared as well and called my sis in law who is a doctor. She said this is very common. She also said that unfortunately if it were a miscarrige there is really nothing that you can do about it. My bleeding was very spotty and stopped the second day. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I am currently 9 weeks pregnant with our second child, and I have never had bleeding during pregnancy! I do have a friend who bled through her 3rd month! She didn't know she was pregnant until she was four months along, cause she had her regular periods! Also, in several books I have read, it says that some women can have their periods through the first trimester! I would suggest seeing your doctor about this! He is the only one who can tell you if everything is normal! Well, besides yourself, I am a firm believer than a women knows her body and pregnancy more than a doctor possibly can! So if you think something is wrong, definitely see your doctor!

Is the bleeding red or brown? If it is brown then it could be just simple implantaion bleeding. Its very common in early pregnancy. I had early bleeding in all 5 of my pregnancies. I did how ever lose 2, so I have 3 great kids. I know alot of people with early bleeding and everything has been just fine.
I know its very stressful to sit and wonder what is happening. But unless its red and heavy just try to think possitive, take it easy and drink lots of water. It cant hurt to call your Dr. Some wont see you this early, but just tell them your spotting. If your Doctor is like mine they may get you in for an early u/s to see if they can see anything. I hope your pregnancy is strong and thriving and the spotting passes soon! Please send me a message anytime with any questions.

Hey K.! I really hope everything is ok and this is just some early pregnancy plantation bleeding . Unforunately,I've been through something like this as well . A few years ago, when I was about 6 weeks pregnant, I started spotting heavily;no pain. I went to the hospital and it turned out that I had miscarried. I was devastated because my husband and I had been trying for a baby for awhile and were very excited. I found out I was pregnant one week, and lost it the next.. I felt so guilty at first that it was my fault, or that I had done something wrong. The doctor explained to me that spontaneous abortion is quite common and that it is no ones fault. He said it usually occurs when something goes wrong with the cell division of the embryo. The body recongnizes a problem, and in turn aborts the pregnancy. If this does not happen and the baby continues to grow; their may be something terribly wrong with him/her or you can miscarry later in the pregnancy at some point. Knowing all of this helped me alot. I was depressed for a few weeks; until about 2 months later when I became pregnant again. The result of that pregnancy is a happy, healthy 4 year old little boy named Gabriel!

Best wishes and I hope the best for you and your family.

You should definetly see your Dr. It may be nothing, but it could also be a sign of a possible miscarriage. I ended up with a ruptured ectopic at @ 3 weeks into my second pregnancy. I had no pain at the beginning. But I did get pregnant again and now have a very boisterous 2 year old boy.
Go to your Dr. and have blood tests run to check the pregnancy hormone levels. They tell the story.
Good Luck

See your doctor NOW.What you most likely have is a sub-choreonic bleed, which is a small tear/hole in the uteran lining. It is not necisarily fatal to the child (my son was nearly full term and came out absolutely perfect - though a c-section was needed. You will most likely be put on bed rest witl little to no activity and NO heavy lifting for the next few months at least (mine lasted the entire pregnancy). ANY bleeding during pregnancy should be taken seriously.

My second child, I started bleeding at 8 weeks and it lasted for 5 weeks. My placnta tore and eventually I passed a blood clot. It scared me to death, I thought I had a miscarriage.

I would highly recommend seeing your doctor about it to rule out an ectopica (tubal) pregnancy. The sooner you catch it the better, so you don't loose your tube and reduce the chance of getting pregnant again in the future. Here's a link with more info on the topic.

I hope this info is helpful to you! I wish you all the best!

Hi K., I know how worrisome it can be to spot during pregnancy. I started bleeding when I was about seven weeks pregnant. It started off the first day being red and the flow was light, but enough to terrify me. I was on vacation in another state so I called my OB and was told to make an appointment for when I came home and if the bleeding worsened or was accompanied by cramps or clots, I should go to the emergency room. Every day the flow got lighter and the blood became brownish to clear. Everything turned out to be fine, when I saw my docotor he said it was very normal and more common than most women think to spot during the first trimester. I now have a healthy happy baby boy so of course everything turned out alright. I'm sure you'll be fine as well, sometimes it just happens. Get yourself checked out as soon as possible just for peace of mind. Hope this helped!

Hi K.,

How is it possible to know that you are 2 weeks pregnant? When you miss your period your 4 weeks. I would really like to know because my husband and I are trying for our second child.

I have been told by my OB, and you can also read up on implimentation during pregnancy, which causes some women to spot. This is when the embro is buring itself into the wall of the uterus.

I look forward to your response.(sorry for all the mis spelled words :)

Thanks!

I bled with my first, an actual cycle, but my stomach clued me that something was going on.And my doc was convinced I had gotten pregnant later, and messed up my due date because I told them about cycle....How I knew was I kind of remembered when I had sex.
So when they said my daughter was early, I went uh-huh. And her APGARS were great. If you are that early in pregnancy, implantion probable cause. If you are not in pain, good . I'd worry if there were pain. Also I would get a test, just so you have confirmation. If you are having pain, do not panic, but perhaps talk to doc about an earlier ultrasound or whatever test may now be there.

I had this happen to me a month ago. I found out I was pregnant and then two days later in the middle of the night I started bleeding. I called the doctor and had to go to the hospital for an ultra sound. It turned out that I had miscarried. They were worried about a tubal. I would go and get checked out. It is the best thing for you to do. I was scared and nervous also. I was just hoping everything would be ok. I hope everything works out for you and good luck.

hi K. I know what you are going through. With my second child I bled heavily after intercourse one night in the first trimester. I swear I miscarried my baby. My first was a preemie and so ofcourse I think the worse. We rushed to the emergency room and was there for a few hours. The baby was fine and I was fine. After that I spotted a lot here and there. My doctor said that it is from extra blood flow to that area. And because of the blood flow I popped a blood vessel. I wasn't aloud to work after that which was a pain in the ass, but my baby was born very healthy. I think you should be fine. Call your DR anyways and get checked out, just for your piece of mind. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I would definately call your dr. My 1st pregnancy I had heavy bleeding and lost it, my second I had spotting for 10 weeks and it was tubal, our 3rd I was so concerned because of my history so far, I spotted in the begining and thought here we go again, it stopped ultrasound said all was fine, then it started , stopped, started and then I bled throughout the remainder. we have a great 3 years old now. It could be just implantation spotting. But to put you at ease, call to see if you can get an appointment. Good luck!!

Hi,
When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had the same problem and I also was very scared. What my doctor recommended me was to stay in bed as much as possible with my feet up (with a pillow under them) and to not broom or mop, because it puts a lot of preassure on your lower stomach. She also gave me some pills to stop the spotting. I hope that you feel better after resting, even though I know it will be hard because you have another baby at home.

I hope this helps,
Y.

I also had been spotting when 7 weeks pregnant. And I was really scared too. I went to my doc and she did an ultrasound to rule out the tubal pregnancy. Everything was fine and I even got a first photograph of my tiny baby :-). Then I spent a week on bed rest, and the bleeding stopped. I have a healthy 5 month old now. However, I have read that about 50% of bleeding result in miscarige. So make sure you check with your OB right away. Good luck.

K.,

I have actually heard of people bleeding/spotting all the way through pregnancy. My sister-in-law is currently 5 1/2 months pregnant and still occasionally has some spotting although less than her first trimester. My mom spotted all the way through with me but she got pregnant when my older brother was 4 1/2 months old...seems like I've heard something about pregnancies less than two years apart too.

I would suggest you talk to your doctor. I did a little spotting the first couple weeks of my pregnancy and that is normal. But when it starts getting heavier that is when you should have some concern. Even if it is nothing at least you know and can take comfort in knowing that your baby is fine. You can't be too careful. Hope everything works out and that you have a beautiful baby in 9 months.

I know hoe you are feeling. I miscarried my first baby at 13 weeks then when I got pregnant for a second time I started spotting at 6 weeks I was so scared but my doctor did an ultrasound and it was perfectly fine and now he is 2 1/2. I didnt get put on bed rest or anything but they just did the ultrasound to be sure it was ok. just see your doctor as soon as you cna because the more you worry the worse it will be. Good luck! and if you need anything dont hesitate to send a message. its always easier to talk to somebody that has had similar experiences.

Hi, K.! I bled off and on for the first three months of my pregnancy. I had several ultrasounds and they could find nothing wrong. The same thing happened to my mother with all 4 of her pregnancies. Go get checked out by your doctor ASAP though to be on the safe side. If nothing else it willmake you feel better.

I know how nervous and scared you must be. I would definitely talk to your doctor. With my first pregnancy I had no bleeding but the ultra sound showed a slow heart beat and sure enough, that week I started having horrible cramps but still no bleeding. Unfortunately another ultra sound showed that I had miscarried and I had to have a D&C to remove the baby.

With my second pregnancy I started bleeding at around 5 weeks and was off and on for about 10 weeks or so. Because of the previous miscarriage, my doctor did an ultra sound right away and the baby's heart beat looked strong and she continued to monitor me weekly. All signs of the baby were good, but still bleeding. So she put me on bed rest for 2 1/2 months and the lower activity stopped the bleeding. My pregnancy after about 5 months was completely normal and now I have a beautiful, VERY ACTIVE, 21 month year old daughter.

So again, see your doctor. As others have posted, some spotting is common as well.

My best wishes for a safe and healthy pregnancy!!
