Ink on Cloth Couch

Does anyone have any advice on removing ink or marker from a cloth couch? My 4 year old broke a pen and smeared it all over the cushion. I haven't put anything on it yet, as I didn't want to try something that would set the stain. Thanks

What can I do next?

I have used hairspray in the past and it worked like a charm.

Good luck.

HAIR SPRAY!!! Works great. Take the cover off, hopefully it zips right off, spray the spots until it is saturated with hair spray, let it dry, then wash with cold water..it should come right out! :o)

I have always used rubbing alcohol for ink stains. It works most of the time. I have only had trouble with really big stains or washed in stains.

I have used Rug Doctor upholstery cleaner on fabrics (I used it in my car before selling and it worked like a dream!) and it was great to remove ink. I would spot test it first, but it's really good stuff.

I would write Kelly Ripa (Regis & Kelly), apparently she knows how to get anything out of anything. At least that is what she says. Good luck.
