This is my fourth pregnancy. Never experience diarrhea before with any other of my pregnancies. But today I got it for the first time. My stomach is having a noisy battle inside. Scares me. I am 3 weeks pregnant now and wondering if this is normal in pregnancy or could be something else. I did not eat anything bad, every food i ate was clean and fresh.

What can I do next?

Could be anything at this point. Its easy to pick up a tummy bug anytime of the year. Probably has nothing to do with the pregnancy.

Are you taking prenatal vitamins? Those made me so sick during my first pregnancy (diarrhea, etc.). Maybe taking one with less iron would help, if your doctor says that's okay.

I had it for about a week when I was about 3 weeks pregnant with my last pregnancy, although at the time I didn't realize it was due to pregnancy. After I found out that I was pregnant in week 4, I realized it was probably due to the pregnancy.

If you are concerned, I would ask the OB/Gyn.

It is most likely some sort of bug working it way out of your system which could have been something you ate or just picked up somewhere. A lot of those types of bugs are around.

Diarrhea is never normal. It is however, a signal that something isn't right so your need to investigate. If your diet is not off like your say, then look at your prenatal. A good prenatal will not cause issues. Most don't absorb and most are actually dangerous because they cause free radical activity. My daughter found one that is guaranteed to absorb and doesnt cause free radical activity.

Also make sure your drinking enough water and it's clean as well....

Hope this helps!

i don't think it's ABnormal. but i doubt it's related to your pregnancy. probably just picked up a bug. rest, and do the BRAT diet.

I had terrible diarrhea with my third pregnancy because I was eating tomatoes out of my garden and my body wasn't happy. The midwife and I had a long talk about foods to figure it out, but I do think it's normal.
