JFF Has Anyone Had Nair Actually Work?

I remember trying Nair when I was a teenager, and all it did was burn my skin and leave the hair! ha! ha!
It has been around for ages, and I guess there must be people out there who use it on a regular basis, and it MUST work for them. Everyone I have ever talked to had pretty much the same story as I did, tried it, left the hair on their legs, but gave them a rash or make their skin uncomfortable. I have heard the same thing about all the brands of foam/cream/lotion hair removals and I have tried my fair share. I know that my friends and I followed all the directions exactly when we were teens, but to no avail.

Who does this stuff work for?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I knew it had to work for someone! I figured they wouldn't still be selling it if it didn't work for anyone, I am just not one of the ones that it works for. I remember leaving the stuff on my legs for far longer than you were supposed too, and still couldn't get any of the hair off.

I use Nair in my bikini area. I get horrible razor rash there, almost no matter what I do. The Nair doesnt get the hair totally gone, so I use the nair, get off what I can and then shave in the shower, and I am left with no hair and no razer rash. I dunno, maybe it opens the pores or something so when I do shave it comes out a lot easier. I use the Nair for sensitive areas stuff.

It removed several layers of skin, left blisters behind, oh but the hair also stayed.

It's worked for me....but it *does* irritate my skin pretty bad :(

What I do is leave it on a bit longer than it says to and then rub it off with a wash cloth pretty hard. That's the only way I've found to actually get the hair to go with it! hahaha

Yes, works great on my legs.. You do have to leave it on there as long as instructed.. I have thick dark hair, and so on some areas, I have to leave it on even longer.

I take a magazine in the bathroom so I can read while I wait..

Then I shower it all off and use a wash cloth to get it all off.

Razors are just so EASY!!! Couple of minutes and it is all gone daily!

I thought Nair was there for first time users and they just counted on new girls (men??) being added to the new customer pile before they moved on.

I used it once a while back. Never again. I think it did remove the hair but I couldn't stand the stinging on my legs and the smell!

I used it when I was young... My dad wasn't ready to let me loose with a razor, but my legs NEEDED hair removal!!! lol. So he compromised with Nair.

It worked OK (not great... but it was an improvement) until one day, after I had been using it without incident for about 6 months, I went to rinse it off my legs and it peeled a strip of skin about 2 inches wide, from my knee to my ankle. I still have the scar! After that, my dad decided to let me use a razor, and I will never use it again.

The facial hair works on my lip hair, but I dont have much and its blonde anyway. The leg kind worked ok, but not all the hair came off. I still had to shave, body waxing is a much better alternative.

Nair worked fine for me.
It left my legs silky smooth with no razor burn. nicks or scrapes.
Eventually I had my legs laser-ed, so now I get an invisible peach fuzz that I remove once or twice for the summer.
It's great not dealing with leg hair anymore!

Nair works for me and I have sensitive skin! However it does not always work the first time, and sometimes it only removes some of the hair - it is a process. So, I suggest doing it during the winter when you may be more lax about your hair removal because by summer it will be just fine :)

Razor, epillator, or go to the saloon and get it waxed. I'm paranoid about getting blisters and red skin on my legs and arms... :)
But I did try Nair on my face, upper lip and chin. It worked, but didn't like the after-sensation and redness. Discovered threading, learnt how to do it, and I'm a happy camper!

I've used it on my legs before with no problem. I have pretty thin hair for the most part. No rash.

I've also used it on the bikini area. But I learned my lesson...don't get too close to anything "sensitive." OMG! OWWWWW!

Nair works for me. I use it for my bikini line because shaving irritates me there. And on my mustache every couple of weeks.

I remember trying it in highschool years ago, and it did burn and didnt work, but I think they've improved the formula since then.
