JFF: How Did Texas Get So Lucky??? LOL

Okay, I just wanted to say that not all of us here in Texas are trolls. LOL.....I just had to put this on here seeing how all these trolls' locations are here in Texas. They are giving us a bad name. So rest assured we are not all trolls nor do we ride horses and wear ten gallon hats. And it does get cold here especially in North Texas. LOL.....

So for my question, how many of you have tomorrow off for President's Day and if so have anything planned? I have it off and plan to go hang out with my eldest, do some shopping and have lunch somewhere. Hope everyone has a great day!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well there are quite a few people who do have big buckles, wear hats (not 10 gallon), boots and drive big trucks. But not all of us does! LOL.....

I just thought we ought to have a little fun on here today.

Victoria, I agree with you! I live in a relatively small town but it's growing by leaps and bounds.

I will admit that my husband fits the stereotypical Texan. Without the big truck anymore however. Used to drive a Dodge Dually. I used to drive a Silverado but we recently traded it in for an Expedition, which I still consider it to be a truck. I own two pairs of boots myself but only wear them occasionally. Oh, and we do attend the Cowboy Church of Ellis County which we love. It's a come as you are church and offers a great ministry to all people of all walks of life and to all ages. I love the Texas way of life.

I just thought I would try to point out that not all of us are without a life, nor do we like to play games and troll is not our middle name. Thank you for all the responses! I love it. Fun stuff.

I wish you would let them keep thinking that. McKinney is one of the fastest growing cities in the country. We don't need more people moving here. But if they show up, we will still welcome them.

HA, I almost wrote this same post last night!

We are known for being "Weird" in Austin, even take pride in it, but there are too many fun things for kids to do here to be trolling on a mom site. .

No cowboy hat, would love a pair of cowboy boots, but the ones I want are too expensive.. no big buckles, but I am the proud owner of a big Red Pick up Truck!!!!

We are both off tomorrow! We are hoping to see our good friend and his mom tomorrow before she goes back home. He is the husband of my friend that died a few weeks ago. He is going to return to work on Tuesday. His work had allowed him all of this time off, to be with his wife, once they realized she was dying.

We are all going to eat out.. Outside! hopefully.. Make sure we are all ok..
nice to have the day off..

LOL!! How sad you actually have to even say that! ;)

And not all of NY is 'big city', there's some incredible countryside too!

Your day tomorrow sounds fun! My husband has to work, but my kiddos will be home. We're staying in our PJs, growing crystals and doing science experiments (they got a few kits for Christmas we haven't done yet), baking, and CHILLING!! I love pajama days with my kids!! I have a whole bunch of Harry Potter and Ghost Adventures DVRed, so we'll be couch potatoes :)

Aren't we lucky and most of the trolls are from North TX this weekend. It is beautiful outside today so maybe they will go soak up some vitamin D.

No one in my house owns a pair of boots, hat, big buckled belts or pick up trucks. There are not many pick up trucks in the area where we live... most everyone is a transplant from another part of the country or from other countries. A quite diverse neighborhood. No country music either...

I will work tomorrow because I work from home with hubby running our company but I'll also be out and about lunching, shopping, etc. It should be a nice day!

Have a great day yourself!

I'm in Arlington and just have to confirm that indeed, we are not all trolls, and we are not all cowgirls. Lol. Although I did see a guy walking a donkey across a bridge on 287 the other day, lol.

I'm working tomorrow (from home) and will have my 5th grader home.

I live in Texas and I do not own a pair of cowboy boots, a cowboy hat, a big belt buckle, and I don't have big hair either. haha
I drive an suv, not a big truck. I'm not a cowgirl and I don't say "ya'll". Heck I don't even care for most country music. Gee...now that I write all that....I feel like I'm in the wrong state.:)))

Tomorrow I'm taking my two dogs to get their nails trimmed and my kids to the movies. Maybe grab some lunch afterwards....finish laundry....and thats about it. Have a good one!

I'm off tomorrow, but will most likely be babysitting my grandson so his M. can go to her class at Austin Community College. Grandson Gavin was just diagnosed with pneumonia (he is doing fine, though) on Friday, and she doesn't want to send him to daycare yet. I will probably spend way too much time on fb and mamapedia, but will still get in some work on a couple of quilting projects I am working on.

One busy weekend and I've missed more excitement?? I have lived in TX my entire life, only have a cowboy hat to wear to Cattle Baron's (large cancer society fund raiser) and my boots have been stolen by my 17 yr old dgtr. Although, she doesn't wear them now that the Taylor Swift look has gone out of style. No big buckles or pickup trucks, but I love country music.

We have school tomorrow, yuck! I'm very unmotivated today, would love an extra day for laundry and grocery shopping.....oh well!

Ha ha, well I have to stick up for us country girls . . . I DO live in Texas (not all that far from McKinney and Plano), my hubby drives a BIG truck, wears boots, a big buckle, and a cowboy hat (I don't own any of these at the time but my girls have hat and boots) and we have cattle hanging out in our backyard. Haven't ridden a horse in a while, though, and don't have big hair either . . . . oh, but I do love country music, "y'all"!

Heading to the museum in Dallas with my girls today :-)

Well, not a troll but I have been stuck in traffic while trail riders blocked 610 on their way to the livestock show & rodeo. I've also had my heart blessed more times than I can count.

The only cowboy hat I ever owned was purchased at the river..... And it's pink straw !

I'm definitely not a troll either, hiding under bridges totally not my thing!
